"However, Alabama has been dismantling quality teams."
I would argue that up to this point, LSU has dismantled teams of at least the same quality.
Oregon is better than Arky or Florida. While WVU is a tad behind all three. Pretty equal production for both teams up to this point.

Yeah i know we haven't won anything. All I'm saying is this team is disgusting. I dont need a trophy to tell me that but most do, I understand. Anyway, glad to see us injury free for the most part. That has been my only concern since february

Larry. So you gonna come out and say 92 bama beats '11 bama? Because they would not. '92 bama doesn't sniff midfield. '11 Bama 20-0
you are an idiot
Trent wouldn't run for 40 yards on the 92 Bama D, and you couldn't pass for shite on them either
David Palmer was Marquis Maze X 10000000
92 isn't even the best Bama team of all time, just trying to put it all in perspective
mostly the fact that you dont have a fricking clue what you are talking about. I bet you called last years team the Best Alabama team of all time after we beat Floridas arse. Then we go and lose to South Carolina the next week
shut your mouth and quit acting like you know shite about Alabama football

Our 92 Defense was better than this year or 2009. the 92 D didn't get torched the way Bama got torched in the first half tonight. We had the 2 Best Defensive Ends in football on the same line
I hold the 1992 defense in high regard. Very high. However, the 2011 run defense may actually end up being better. We're still on pace to shatter that 50 YPG average they gave up, and only play two more teams that can run the football.

I know the OP is a bit excitable, but I agree that this is best team, going back 30 years.
I made the exact same post preseason. Bama has more talent with experience and depth than they have had in thirty years. If they lose two or three games it will not change my mind.
Thats funny, because this time last year people were saying the EXACT SAME shite. Best Bama team of ALL TIME. Right after we wiped the floor with the Florida Gators
How did that turn out. 2010 still best Bama team of all time? Oh yeah that only last 1 week

So your agreeing that none of those teams could beat this one? I realize the difference in comparing achievement and comparing on field play. I am comparing on field play.
No
I would agree that this team would have an advantage afforded by time and circumstance
"those teams" would have an advantage in coaching and discipline.

If you're counting us as one, I wouldn't... Dyer will have trouble pounding against that D. He did last year and Ben Tate did the year before. McCalebb and Mason might be more successful, but we have to put them in situations to be use their skills. McCalebb's speed is what hurt Bama's D last season. He just needs to grow some balls and take some hits.

I completely agree with this, but that still wasn't the opinion of most LSU fans as of kickoff of the Alabama-Florida game. I think y'all are in more of an agreement now.

Dude i don't need wins or losses for my eyes to tell me how talented a team is. You live in the past. The 92 team was dominate for their time which BTW is working on 20 years ago. The 92 defense would do very well holding '11 to 20 ish points. The 1992 anemic offense would do NADA against this unit and I mean NADA. But I get it you are one of those who will never say something is better than the past.

In your well thought out scenario, does 92 Bama get to enjoy the technology and supplements that 11 Bama enjoys? Will you allow them the current training and advanced speed training in your bullshite scenario?
Your pathetic comparison should stop at the talent on hand in the past and what they did against their competition at the time..... but NO, you want to make ridiculous statements based on a few games against *cough* DECENT competition for 2011 Bama. 2011 hasn't played a comparable version of 92 UT, UF, or Miami yet.
Maybe you should have made the general statement that "college football players today are soooo mu h bigger and faster today than they were twenty plus years ago"
In reality, you are the fricking idiot here.

As an outsider who has paid attention to Alabama football for about 30 years, I still think '92 was the most dominant football team I've seen you guys put out, and one of the two or three best teams I've seen on a college football field.

That bama team probably was dude. They lost 3 games two of which could have gone either way. Doesnt change my view of them. You are only gonna look and W's and L's. 2010 bama is also one of the best ever.
Posted on 10/1/11 at 11:15 pm to bgtiger
Well roll tide guys. We are so good now we have to resort to bickering about how dominate we are. Good times

Our DBs haven't proved shite this year
they were getting SMOKED tonight in the first half until Brantley went down... just like they got SMOKED all last year

So, you consider a team one of the best ever, and they lost 3 games? Really, dude? Let's just mark down #14 in the NC column.

They were out of position maybe three times. They have played far better in 2011 than 2010.

Hell, this year's Wisconsin beats this year's Alabama on a neutral field.
