ABC is killing in the ratings with the new SEC package and ESPN has the CFP playoff package so the SEC will have at least 3 teams and possibly 4. Remember, this is a made-for-TV product.

I would feel better if BYU took a regular season loss, but a 2 loss ACC non champion is not getting in. SMU has 0 quality wins and Miami has 0 quality wins + should have lost 2-3 other games (VT/Cal for sure).
Ole Miss technically only has 1 loss in regulation. And that is because we missed a FG to go to OT.

Yes, I can see how the SEC beats the shite out of each other every season and that will mean some playoff worthy teams get left out, (some years it will be my Longhorns) but so be it. With 12 teams there is still drama in the regular season, expand past 12 and you may see some coaches actually rest dinged up players that would otherwise play...especially if a loss doesn't knock them out of the playoffs.
I know you disagree and others may as well, but if you truly think about it you know I'm right. And once again, I'm fully aware being in the SEC where literally any team can beat another team on a given Saturday makes for a more difficult playoff path, but that just means the teams we get in are truly worthy and could go all the way.
