1/9/12 doesn't count, obviously

Florida. Easy. I've seen UK beat UofL multiple times in my lifetime.

I can remember a time when UK beat UF early and often.

If you can't count 1/9/12, Auburn 2006 immediately comes to mind.

About a decade ago I began to talk about writing a book then I realized more money could be made not writing it.

How?
You'd classify it as "a win that got away"?

Easy...Per Wikipedia. The Fifth Down Game was a college football game that included a play that the crew officiating the game permitted to occur in error. That play enabled the Colorado Buffaloes to defeat the Missouri Tigers by scoring a touchdown on the last play of their game on October 6, 1990. The ensuing controversy cast doubt on Colorado's claim to Division I-A's 1990 National Championship, which it shares with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. It has been called one of the top memorable moments and blunders in college football history.
OR...Per Wikipedia. In college football, the Flea Kicker was a legendary play executed by the Nebraska Cornhuskers against the Missouri Tigers on November 8, 1997 that sent the game into overtime and resulted in a win for the Cornhuskers who went on to share the NCAA Division I-A National Championship with the Michigan Wolverines. The final minutes of the game were seen by many people on ABC, after other regional games ended. It should have been a penalty, not a TD.
OR recent history, the 2013 SECCG vs. Auburn. We just could not stop their running game when needed. They had a darn good offense and deserved the win. But not the #1 buffs or #1 nubbers from above. I was at all three of these games.
Mizzou has a history of tough losses that should have been wins.

As for recently....UGA '12,'13 & '14 would rank right up there.

The Fifth Down game was complete BS. Mizzou wasn't so much robbed as molested by that call.
For Arkansas the '69 game is probably always going to be the safe pick. From last season I'd add the Bama and Aggies games for the Hogs. A fumble going into the endzone and a blocked PAT cost us the Bama game, and one of the dumber penalties I've seen committed kept us from finishing off the Aggies and left the door open for them to win.

1960 season finale vs kansas (they were forced to forfeit the game retroactively, but it already cost us an undefeated national championship season from the voters)
2007 Big 12 Championship vs Oklahoma (would have been Big 12 champions and most likely won the national championship instead of LSU)
2013 SEC Championship vs Auburn (would have been SEC champions in our second year and played in the national championship game)

The obvious answer for us would be Navy in '84. We would have been ranked #1 and played for the national title had we not lost that game.
Since joining the SEC, for me, the Tenn game in 2013. Probably the worst coached game Spurrier has had while here at South Carolina. We let a bad Tenn team stick around the whole game, and couldn't get a first down in the fourth quarter to put it away. Then North made the catch of his life. Cost us the East and possibly a chance to play for the national title if we could have beat Auburn in the SEC Championship.

Kick Six
We beat Auburn, then we would have handled FSU.
