So how could he really be a legit SEC QB?"

Man I'm getting so tired of hearing this....if anyone has a clue about Les Miles you would understand that Metts talent had NOTHING to do with why he didnt get on the field last year. If anyone thought Miles was going to start a kid that would of been in his 3rd program in three years ahead of two guys who were going on 9 years of being in our program combined obviously does not know Miles . Not to mention a kid that has had disciplinary problems in the past too....Miles himself said his biggest fault is loyalty, he stays loyal to his players who have worked the longest and hardest in his program, especially to seniors. Now, keep on telling yourselves he couldn't beat out JJ and Lee if that makes you sleep better at night, but I have a feeling Mett is going to disappoint many this fall,I can't wait

Yeah Cam Newton and that whole 3 programs in 3 years thing was a really smart move.

Not sure Jarrett Lee would agree with you.

You have two senior QB's play them, Mett also said that he's really become a better football player and not just a gun slinger.

It wasn't his turn...hopefully with him at the helm it will be like Flynn where we were completely balanced.

If I were to do a TL;DR for that, it would be..

"Good QB, dumb coach".

This won't end well due to flaming but I like the post. Loyalty to Crowton could have cost him his job if he kept him for 2011, fortunately that theory never got tested. I wouldn't worry too much about naysayers. CLM has fared pretty well with mediocre QB play over 4 years, if Zach pans out success will bring a lot of silence to many outside the fanbase and joy to many inside. Just got to have to have the patience of time friend. A few more months.

Stop reading the threads about it?

I can just tell you, when this conversation comes up, I am gonna bring that up every single time because I think it's very relevant. Sorry that you don't like facts and reason.

Well, that's true. Fact is no one knows how Zach will do as a starter because he hasn't started. Probably best just to let it be and see how things go.

If mett was hands down the best QB on the roster last fall what does that say about les miles? Any coach that chooses the feelings of one player over the success of the team needs to get his priorities straight. There have been plenty of one year wonders, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson most recently lead their teams to a BCS bowl in their first and only year on campus, because they were better than the guys returning. Gilbert was unseated at texas, QB's lose their job if the guy behind them is better...either mett was right there with JJ and JL or les miles is a retard for sitting his best option
