well the last 3 champs were first year starters, so maybe les should rethink his strategy there.

Most of you LSU fans ignore the fact that Bama just dominated you in your home away from home
and most of you Gumps ignore the fact that we came into YOUR HOME and beat you...

I don't see how Bama loses

Mett has to be near perfect for that to happen
yeah, b/c our QBs were near perfect in November 2011 IN your home stadium...

Man I'm getting so tired of hearing this

Stop reading the threads about it?

I can just tell you, when this conversation comes up, I am gonna bring that up every single time because I think it's very relevant. Sorry that you don't like facts and reason.

For the umpteen trillionth time - Miles was not going to put Mett in unless both his senior QB's went down. Miles is loyal to his seniors, esp. QBs - TO A FAULT.
I can tell you one thing though, Saban would have laughed at 'senior loyalty' and Jl/JJ crying, and put Mettenberger in ASAP.....

Well, we don't beat Bama in Nov if Lee played that whole game, they weren't prepared for JJ. To me the worst decision of 2011 was not having a back up plan with Lee if the top rushing D in the country actually stopped the option. But, I'm pretty sure it didn't matter who lined up vs Bama that day. They were out for blood that day....let's face it, majority of those Bama players had just lost to LSU twice in a row and no way would they lose a third. Miles got a Lil complacent and Saban prevailed. Will be interesting to see if Miles and this team can respond the same way
Lester wasn't the only one that got a "Lil complacent" on that day.
