Yes, Mett is going to disappoint the rest of the SEC this year, book it ;-) Did Miles screw up by not playing him? Who knows.... Not point of post....just saying his talent had nothing to with his playing time last year...and flame all you want haters, I welcome it

You LSU fans need to at least give him a chance before you start bashing the kid...

He also lost out to that judge in Valdosta. Hopefully a lesson learned.

All part of Miles' masterplan. Keeping the Groper on the bench in '11 was by design in order to unleash a suprise Texas Tech type air attack in'12

well the last 3 champs were first year starters, so maybe les should rethink his strategy there.

I'm not saying experience is a bad thing, but there has to be some sort of sliding scale.

If player A, on a scale of 1-10, has 4 talent and 8 experience but player B has 8 talent and 4 experience, i'm taking B everytime..especially when he could have been cutting his teeth for the following season when the other 2 would no longer be there

Actually I think we should chalk that one up as a loss to the liquor but he went down swinging.

If Zach is all that, and CLM comes out in a 4 wide, that would be funny as hell. Especially if it worked. They have the receivers and O-line for it, just a lot of RB talent being used for blocking and flare-outs.

Y'know, I hear LSU fans saying nothing but "Bama's WRs aren't proven."

Really, none of your WRs are proven. Odell has looked good, but really none of your oh so amazing WRs have done anything in college either.

From what he did according to the D.A. and the sentence imposed (banishment) I suspect the young lady in question had friends/family high in the Valdosta circle.

Well, that's true. Fact is no one knows how Zach will do as a starter because he hasn't started. Probably best just to let it be and see how things go.

This post was more designed for the Tiger Rant IMO. Lets face it; after 1/9 , at least on this forum, there aren't but maybe 3 Alabama posters who feel LSU will come within 28 pts of Alabama this year nor be able to compete with Alabama for the forseeable future.LSU is now a 'gimmee'. The wording in the post just adds to that notion.

I heard Mett really wanted to go to Georgia State after JUCO but the coaches told him he'd never play over Star Jackson.

In all seriousness , Zach is a hell of a QB and yes much better than JJ or Lee.

Most of you LSU fans ignore the fact that Bama just dominated you in your home away from home, and usually wins in TS. You act like being in TS matters to Bama. It'll be a close game, but I don't see how Bama loses. Mett has to be near perfect for that to happen.

What's funny it definitely would have went 20 pages less than flattering responses on TR

Man I hope that's overstated. I get homerism but that would be a whole new level. Maybe so but actually I've 'conversed' with quite a few UA fans that think LSU will be 'the' team to deal with for a few years...from their perspective.
