Previous to young guys Kirby and Dabo and Jeremy, the only actual natives of Alabama to ever accomplish anything as a football coach was Ray Perkins and high school coach Rush Propst

Wait, Perkins is from Petal, Mississippi

So that leaves Propst. Maybe we could throw in Grass from Jax State?

Anyway, congrats state of Alabama on Kirby and Dabo and Jeremy

That was a long wait for you

You are a gentleman and a great, magnanimous poster, Harry Rex.

I just hope the state of Alabama appreciates it

Well I jumped the gun.

Kirby was born in Montgomery, but he was raised in Georgia. So he doesn't really count.

Still got Dabo and Jeremy though!

Spreading joy my friend.

And congrats to you and all of Mississippi for having many decades of great native coaches from your home state.

Would you count Vince Dooley or maybe Bobby Bowden or how about Danny Ford ? All of those guys won NCs - how many from Miss ? There are many others, but since they didn't win NCs we won't bother with them.

We can’t help it that coaching greatness is drawn to the Mecca of CFB to cement their legacies.

Can’t help it at all. shite happens.

Sorry, didn't mean to make a fool of you, since I know you were sincerely trying to give the state some props.

was not aware. The Jags weren't great last year, but they did beat the mighty Troy.

Interesting considering that the unit gave him his first SEC win.

Don't keep up with football much do ya? As tatoo pointed out, you left out several coaches from Alabama that won Natties.
Try and keep up. We don't want to have to remind you again.
