Poor thing, called out on your incorrect post and you try to change the subject.

Pruitt isn't a good coach, and Smart grew up in Georgia so we don't claim him.

Must be humbling to have to take a job at a lesser school that you used to beat up on

So that leaves Dabo and Vince and Bobby Bowden and Rush Propst and Grass from Jax State
That's improvement!

He’s from Selma, AL. He had a .675 winning % though and auburn fans act like he’s coaching royalty

He is in the college football hall of fame. I’d have to give him his due.

Can we claim Bear Bryant?
I know he was born in Arkansas, but learned football in Alabama.

Former coaches born in Alabama:
Frank Howard: Clemson, 162 wins, 2 Southern Conf titles, 6 ACC titles
Vince Dooley: UGA, 201 wins, 1 NC, 6 SEC titles
Bobby Bowden: WVA, FSU, 390 wins, 2 NC, 12 ACC titles
Danny Ford: Clemson, Ark, 122 wins, 1 NC, 5 ACC titles, 1 SEC West
Ralph Shug Jordan: Auburn, 176 wins, 1 NC, 1 SECC
Bill Dooley: NC, VT, WF, 162 wins, 3 ACC titles
Current coaches:
Dabo Swinney, Kirby Smart, David Cutcliffe, Kevin Sumlin, Bill Clark, Jeremy Pruitt.
More former coaches:
Tommy Bowden, Charlie Pell, Joey Jones, Bill Battle, P.W. Underwood, Richard Williamson, Vince Gibson, Irk Russell, Sylvester Croom, Bud Moore, Mike DuBose, Dixie Howell, Al Kincaid. That's most of them.
Since 1936 there have been 51 different coaches win an AP NC. The state of Alabama has produced 5, almost 10%, of those coaches: Shug Jordan, Vince Dooley, Danny Ford, Bobby Bowden, Dabo Swinney. Of course that's not counting the 11 NCs that have been won at the University by 3 more coaches: Bryant, Stallings and Saban. Also, not counting the NC won by AU with Chizik.
