Yeah I don't see anyone in the SEC thrilled about playing the SECCG in Arrowhead when it's 10 fricking degrees outside with a -5 wind chill.... It was brutal going to the Big12 CCG there years ago. frick that place.
I fricking loved it! Tailgated all day with a high of like 9 degrees! Stadium didn't feel that cold. Don't be a pussy! Football is an outdoor sport ya know!

My favorite part of this is it allows a greater variety of fans to attend- I don’t think the average family can afford to drive/fly multiple states away during December (Christmas expenses) to watch a football game that is less important than the playoffs. By rotating it, a family may say “ if it’s in so and so city, that’s only an hour drive to go see it.
Unfortunately this isn't remotely a consideration. Were that it was but the average alumni family, let alone average sidewalk family, ain't getting tickets to the game at a price that traveling expenses are a consideration. I have 4 to the game every year. With a few exceptions (frick Arkansas and Missouri) any season that I did not use those 4 tickets I have sold them for 5 times the face value at least. You don't see a lot of young families at the SEC CG. There are a some die hard fans who don't care what it costs, a bunch of students on winter break who need one ticket and travel together (the same way bowl games work) and the majority of people are connected to the schools and corporate sponsors. It would be the same in any city....its not something most families will spend money on.
With that in mind IF a young family were intent on going to the game very few places would be better suited for it than Atlanta. First of all there is a huge contingency of fans of most SEC schools who live in metro Atlanta. Hotel rooms in Atlanta are about as cheap as they get in a major metro area and transportation is cheap and convenient. The number of Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss and South Carolina fans in metro Atlanta is close to what it is in the respective towns where the schools are located. You can't sling a dead cat in Metro Atlanta on a Saturday and not hit an alumni watch party for just about every CFB team in the United States. BIG crowds at these things. Especially SEC and ACC fans. Many have less than a 30 minute train ride to get to the game to see their team play in it. It is simply a matter of fact that Atlanta is the regional center of the same region the SEC is largely in.....

We’ve already been through this newbie.
Atlanta is the perfect place.

Atlanta has no tailgating outside of their designated area and few if any RV spots. It’s just not a game day environment. Might as well be Austin. Move the game to Arlington and keep it there.

SECCG is worthless and nothing but a chance for a layer to be inured for the conference to make a buck.

The new stadium in Birmingham looks nice. Not sure if they still use Legion Field.

If they were named a host site they'd add a deck before springtime lol. Stadium is fine. Terrible parking.

It's fine where it is. If it's a problem for some fanbases travel wise then they can go back to a conference that was more travel friendly.

Do any of those venues have the college football hall of fame and are the hub of SEC alums and fans ?
Leave it where it is.

They should bring it back to Legion Field.

Not one single thing good about the state of Missouri - even your arch is closed half the time

Tampa is not the SEC and the Bucs stadium is trash. Went there in 2017 when we played Clemson. Should stay in Atlanta

11AM kick off at Legion Field with Jefferson Pilot graphics broadcasted in 480i SD.
Make it hurt to suck.

OK, but that still doesn't change the fact that during the SECCG, It will be DECEMBER and it won't be 95 fricking degrees out and amazing tailgate weather!

You obviously didn't go to the 2000 Big12CCG... It wasn't 9F it was colder...

Nashville would be ideal since Vandy will never get there but they need a dome stadium.

Even as a UGA fan, I agree. Atlanta is the absolute worst location. There's not a sh1ttier surrounding area of any of the stadiums you noted.
