It's kind of tough watching players who are 2-4 years out of College, who didn't make it in the league, having to discuss college football and players who will most likely go on to actually make it in the league.

Greg McElroy and Tebow just make me bummed out. It would suck if Patrick Peterson or Honey Badger were on there.

Any Bama fans or Gator fans want to share how they feel about this depressing conundrum?

McElroy will be solid, I think. This is his first major gig and I think he is improving.

I do agree, though, that the network so far is pretty sad. Hopefully the games themselves will build viewers and enable them to bring in more talent in the booth.

agreed.

Still can’t believe that Tim Brando isn’t involved. I thought he was ok with CBS or whoever did the day game. He lives in Shreveport so he is an SEC guy! Not to thrilled about the announcers and definitely have no respect for Finebaum

Patrick Peterson? Why? He's busy continuing to make a name for himself and so is Tyrann. However, I've seen enough interviews of Honey Badger to know, public speaking is not his forte. "You know?" Ryan Clark would be a better option than those two, comparing where he is now in his NFL career and previous experience with ESPN.

Personally, I think the the SECN is just fine. Sure, there will be some growing pains and cringe-worthy moments from the analysts, but it's new and needs time to develop. Let them get their feet wet.

That's because he's terrible.

This is funny coming from a fan of a school with one of the biggest draft busts of all time

But I'm sure Bama/Gator fans don't really care how they do in the NFL considering the championships they brought us in college.

I'm saying, as a fan of LSU, it would suck to have PP and HB on SEC network and not in the league, making tons of money and being good at football.

Unlike Tebow and McElroy

If god wants Tebow to play football, shouldn't he(Tebow) be in Canada?

The talent out of the current crop will sift up and more will get added but at some point you're gonna see a lot of womens golf and mens gymnastics so your complaints about programming might become more valid.

Sounds like you're pointing out Bama and Gator people, right? Well Marcus Spears is easily the worst on the network. McFarland is pretty decent. So how do you feel?

Tebow is one of the greatest college players of all time, can't think of a better person to represent UF and talk about SEC football. What he did or didn't do in the NFL is inconsequential to me.
