We're actually prepping for Atlanta. We're gonna have to play on turf there so why not practice now?
Georgia is in Athens, the ACC's Georgia Tech is in Atlanta. Don't worry sport, you'll get the hang of it one day.

Well with Bama in the East I don't think we're gonna be playing Georgia in Atlanta

I LOVE this! That means that it's entirely possible that UT-Austin has inadvertently lined the pockets of a few LSU and or A&M grads who received their degrees in petroleum engineering! (I believe those are the only two schools in the SEC that offer that degree.)
Don’t let aggy lie to you.
The University of Texas is the #1 Petroleum Engineering school in the country. As well as Geology.

Maybe Texas should hire a few A&M grads to show you how to grow grass

Not surprising the soyboys in Austin don’t know how to properly manage a field. Y’all probably couldn’t start the mower

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s award-winning Scott Field at Davis Wade Stadium is gracing the July 2020 cover of SportsField Management, the official publication of the national Sports Turf Managers Association. Receiving its third College Football Field of the Year distinction in 2019, Scott Field has “always been recognized for its outstanding turf quality and maintenance while withstanding the demands of NCAA athletics,” according to MSU Sports Turf Superintendent Brandon Hardin.

After seeing the Latitude36 [bermudagrass] perform so well on our brand new state-of-the-art baseball field (Dudy Noble Field) for the last two years, I decided it was time to transition football over as well. This has been a great agronomic year for us — the methods we used to transition Scott Field from Tifway 419 to Latitude36 were financially advantageous for the university with the entire project totaling less than $20,000,” Hardin said. “That is one stat I am extremely proud of!” Hardin earned a Bachelor of Science in agronomy from MSU’s nationally recognized sports turf management program in 2006. Including Hardin, the sports turf staff currently has four full-time employees and six students who manage approximately 21.75 acres of natural grass athletic fields,

so your suggestion for teams that routinely play in 90+ degree heat through the first month of the season is to.......put in a playing surface that is routinely measured at 10-15 degrees above the air temp?
yep....sounds like a winning solution. Who in CFB has won championships playing on artificial turf, name them please.
and trust me, all the little league fields in the south have this same kind of turf and many HS football fields due to maintenance cost......yea its hot as frick. Son had a game in June where we shot the turf and it measured 173 degrees at 3pm and was 120 at 10am. frick all that.
