So what you are saying is that Texas A&M is pissed y’all are joining the SEC and has refused to help you in turf grass management? So your answer was carpet. Sounds legit.

I understand that Ag schools have to archaically “showcase” their product of all that research money on their playing fields. But that doesn’t mean it’s the best option.

Natural grass gets torn up and is terrible for knees.

Didn't think wear and tear on the knees was a deal-breaker in Austin.

Lookie here Tex… iffen y’all ain’t got nobody that can grow grass in Austin, Texas, why don’t y’all hire an agriculture and mechanical expert to advise you’uns. That way all y’all can go back and study your CRT major without getting your pinkies dirty.

Get it right - that astro-turf is imported. French, to be exact.

That’s really embarrassing. You should hire a few Ag grad students and they’ll fix you right up.

In all fairness, I don't think even the Aggies can grow fine, imported French astro-turf. Did I mention that stuff is imported ?

You need to upgrade all those bleacher seats while you're at it.

I LOVE this! That means that it's entirely possible that UT-Austin has inadvertently lined the pockets of a few LSU and or A&M grads who received their degrees in petroleum engineering! (I believe those are the only two schools in the SEC that offer that degree.)

Well some pretty unbiased rankers of field turf that have forgotten more about playing surfaces than you will ever know say differently, but I guess we will just have to take your word for it.

Re: Petroleum Engineering…

Mississippi State used to have an excellent program. I got my MS in PE from Alabama … (School of Mines). Don’t know if either still has a program.

But seriously… who the hell in the SEC brags about a GD turf field? Hey TX, the 1970s just called and they want their field back!

In case you haven't noticed, most of the SEC has no shortage of rainfall or water.

Sorry, but no. That imported French astro-turf, as opposed to the cheap knock-off domestic French astro-turf that no fine LowHorn fan with even a smidge of refinement and taste would ever trod upon, is made only from the most artisanal, organic, free-range petroleum raised with no GMOs, hormones, additives, or preservatives. As is befitting the most discerning of LowHorns.

Have I mentioned that their astro-turf is imported ? Its French, FYI.
