That hyped nerd is in charge of building a roster. There isn't anything hyped about his position; it's essential, and you have seen previous portal years compared to this one.
re: Former DB Sage Ryan ready for LSU

I was thinking to about Hilton and Sage Carrer at this point.
Hilton was a top-five wideout
Sage was a top safety
Both probably thought they were going to the NFL after 2023, yet they will face off against each other in college in 2025. One of them is not like the other. Can you imagine Sage Ryan trying to cover go routes by Hilton or Brown? If they can figure out the O-line, I will say it. Passing records are being broken, and I am talking about single-season passing records.

Ask yourself why would the 1 receiver come to LSU ?
This takes the cake as the dumbest thing ever said on a forum.
Do you watch the NFL? What do you think Keys is coming for an education? If you want to be the best in the NFL what school would you attend? Surly not the one dominating the league right now.

I think 2006 for sure as well. Damn that team was wasted

Nolan was probably 5 times that much. No sense in paying a transfer unless you think they are a difference maker. Hopefully the spring will be different.

The only thing that will change on the offense is more formations for our young TE’s. This is Kelly’s offense whether it is Denbrock or Sloan calling plays.

I think the point is would you rather have South Carolina's or LSU's season last year? I want us to be the best team in March and not January. Though it happens more with men than women, the best regular season team rarely wins the tourney.

Could you imagine what they would think if they could have come to the Alabama gave in 2022. They wouldn't know how describe the experience to their friends.

Does that matter? He had CJ stroud, Garret Wilson, Olave, Harrison, Embeka, Henderson and a loaded defense that couldn't make the playoffs. Doesn't seem like they matter very much with him coaching.
re: DBU origins? Was it Corey Raymond?
Posted by TheTruthPolice on 1/18/24 at 11:19 am
I was thinking about the last ones he recruited. It still blows my mind how bad we were at pass defense in 2020. You had Stingley and Flott both very good NFL starters at corner and nickel. Ricks is getting a lot of playing time at the other corner and was a freshman All American. Then you had back ups like Ward and Dwight who was drafted or will be drafted by the NFL. Bo Pelleni had to be the worst hire in our history to have us playing that bad.

One thing he has going for him is this is the best o line we ever had. If Mason Taylor is healthy and another TE emerges, we could be very similar to UGA on offense last year. Not worried about the receivers and I think the running backs will be the talk by the end of the year.

Cory Webster and Travis (I don't play for the name on the back of my jersey) Daniels. Travis is one of my favorite players ever. Looks like he is enjoying retirement. LINK
re: Who did Corey Raymond recruit to UF?

It is you with the lack of IQ. Compare his best recruits from Florida to what we signed the last two years. You see the top 100 players and high four stars there? Imagine what he can do now not having to sell playing for a non existent sun belt Billy in a year. Comprehend better?
re: My sources told me the retirement is a coverup

It actually has to do with the news I broke two years ago. Saban has been doing some serious Sanduskying over there and it was getting harder and harder for them to sweep under the rug.

There is a Lance Heard type DT (a talented young player) sitting behind some talent at either UGA, Bama, OSU or PSU. Just got to get the word out and have the checkbook ready.

He is on the composite. Most services don’t hand out the last 20 five stars till they are senior's.

Yes. 2003. I remember being a kid and using allowance money to buy the recruiting class DVD. I remember Shawn Jordan’s highlight video being unreal.
Hell yea I got the Same DVD. Jordan looked like Mike Alscott. Amp Hill might have been better than Buster or Bowe if he didn’t get that injury freshman camp. Tim Washington was an animal as well.
All of 2001, 2003,2004, and 2009 were all rated #1 by at least one of the big 3 services at the time. Back in 2001 it was just Rivals, Lemming, and Super Prep. I would probably say 2001 was the best because you had 4 of the nations top 20 players. All of them lived up the hype. Then on top of them you have a hall of fame LT in it. Plus Travis Daniels, Addai, Niswanger, and Bennie Jets in it.

He played 195 snaps as a true freshman, or 69 less snaps than Ashton Stamps played this year as a true Frehsman.
69.2 overall
69.2 coverage grade
I don't know what formula PFF uses to grade players so I can't say why it would be that low. This was the game both OSU corners were injured. Both Jyaire Brown and JK Johnson were the starting cornerbacks for this game. OSU was down to three scholarship corners. Now after watching what Wisconsin/Moredcai as well as Mertz and Sun Belt Billy did to Sage and company; I think I will take my chances Brown and Johnson any day of the week.
This was the write up on Brown yesterday. How they get Sage's PFF numbers and his PFF numbers is a mystery to me.
In 2022, Brown ranked second in reception percentage (38.5%) among all Big Ten cornerbacks with at least 100 defensive snaps last season, according to PFF. Brown was targeted 13 times and gave up five catches for 61 yards. He was penalized just once, and he didn’t concede a touchdown pass.
re: Baker & Raymond
Posted by TheTruthPolice on 1/4/24 at 1:54 pm
You get that Baker was not our DC correct? You get that Baker did a great job that year, was liked by his players, and turned Damone Clark from not good into a NFL starter? He wasn't retained because his DC choice happened to coach NFL linebackers. If Denbrock coached OL instead of TE Davis would have gone as well.
Fast forward two years and Baker has improved a defense more than any DC in college football. As bonus he recruits well and has ties to this area. There is not a more slam dunk option than this guy.
Now Raymond I think would be Wilson in Kelly's ear because he has not done a good job in about six years.
