When the AP Poll was released yesterday, Southeastern Conference members garnered 6 of the top 7 positions in the poll, the first time in the 88-year history of the Associated Press College Football Poll that any conference has ever accomplished such a ranking.

Congrats, SEC! SEC! SEC!

1. GEORGIA
2. TEXAS

3. Ohio State
4. ALABAMA
5. OLE MISS
6. MISSOURI
7. TENNESSEE

Looks perty, doesn't it? Congrats to the Dawgs, Longhorns, Crimson Tide, Rebels, Tigers, and Volunteers for being a part of this history-making event.

The Big 10 can stuff it! ..... except USC, of course. :)

We made history ourselves.

First team ever to be 1-0 in a 16-team SEC.

Suck it, losers.

The teams not on this list will tell you it's a down year for the entire SEC. It's the only way they can cope.

Pretty impressive. One B1G team ensconced by 6 SEC teams. Wowza.

Looks like shite to me.

Congrat's to all the teams that are doing well. Ignore my envy.

I asked after week 1, who outside the SEC can beat these teams? OSU hasn’t beaten an SEC team in how long? And Day doesn’t inspire confidence when it comes to big games.

And because of the playoff committee some of these won't make the playoffs while some ranked in the 15/20 will.

I for one love Texas being in the SEC. Thanks for letting my university in.

And let’s be honest, Poohio State doesn’t belong that high up anyways.

That's a very gracious and honorable post. And yes, I will agree.

But remember, Texas shows up with a lot more than just a six-pack and a bag of chips. The SEC wouldn't have brought Texas in without its bank account.

That's a given, but we don't have to mention it all the time or even at all.

I am glad Sark had 3 years to recruit and develop towards playing in the SEC, and it is exciting to be playing with a groups of schools that are so invested in their athletic success. Metal sharpens metal.

Right,

The team who has finished inside the top 10 basically every single year since the turn of the century is a team who doesn't belong on that list

Look I get it, the SEC has a lot of teams who look good so far. But Ole Miss and Missouri haven't played literally anyone (Neither has OSU for sure), and Bama struggled at home to USF for 3 1/2 quarters.

Long season, teams will look good and bad depending on the week, and everyone will bitch and moan
