Hold up, so by avoiding UT and OU that equates to building? That simply means they'll cram your out of Pod games in vs UT or OU anyway. For eyeballs

They may ditch pods if the keep the sec championship games. Going to have to keep west and east.

Nothing is official about any of it.

Maybe but Texas isn’t getting our rivalry game back during rivalry weekend for example. Looks like LSU gets stuck in that slot forever.

I'm sure they're crushed bot having you during "rivalry week". Their rivalry game is in October anyway, and it's not Aggy. Play Horn in September for all we care. And make sure to build your little campfire and outhouse of course.

You think you can run and hide, but you can't.

I do not think they are running or hiding, since they will play UT or OU every year based on the pod system given

That's not a bad format, but I like playing a full pod each year, so that you have a rotating 8-team division to pull the SECCG teams from. Then for parody purposes, you play 1 team from each of the other pods based on where you placed last season (NFL style). Always guaranteed an SECCG rematch the following regular season. Guaranteed to play everybody every 3 years and host each team every 6.

Year 1: AB winner vs CD winner

Year 2: AC winner vs BD winner

Year 3: AD winner vs BC winner

Year 4: repeat

Huge win for LSU if so

Every other pod has 2 contending programs

A - Florida, Georgia
B - UA, AU
C - Only LSU
D - OU, Texas

Agreed. This is taking care of LSU, not the Ags

Meh, I’d rather have Arkansas in the pod to retain the rivalry game

We get LSU in the pod instead of being stuck in another Big 12 South. We get to build on what we started in the SEC and get the new big payout.

It also has each pod pretty damn equal with two perceived top teams and two perceived bottom teams.

And I put perceived in there because state, Kentucky, Arkansas, USC, Ole miss, and Missouri have all had damn good teams in recent memory.

And Alabama gets the lucky draw as usual.

The 4 PODS that the SEC network put out make perfect sense. Now, Auburn of course looses the UGA game, but the Iron Bowl is intact.

"Vandy gets the raw deal no matter who they play because they don’t get to play Vandy"

Only hope Vandy would have is a pod with UT, SoCar and UK, and they would still be a distant 4th.

I would prefer LSU share a pod with Alabama, but this isn’t bad.

I do think it’s beyond idiotic, however, that Texas and Texas A&M still refuse to play each other every year.

The real solution requires Mizzou to go to the Big 10.

I am not sure MIZZOU is going to BIG10, the SEC now has MIZZOU in its TV packages. So if MIZZOU is in the BIG10, there footprint is now getting further into the SEC footprint.

Damn! Pod B is brutal (except for Auburn, Tennessee and Vanderbilt).

Doubt that happens. And A&M has very little history with OU - could care less about playing those inbreds

SEC showed their true colors last year when they didn't fight for us at all with the playoffs. Sankey doesn't give a damn about anything but "money"
