The SEC fans all warned us about LSU and their insecurities when we joined the conference

“They’ll become obsessed with you” they told us
“They will claim you are their rival, even if y’all don’t care about them” Was often told to us
“ Even when they are terrible they will blame everything that happens on the referees”. We heard from all of you
“They have a little brother complex and love to jump up and down and go look at me! look at me!” Cried out the other fans of the SEC
It’s amazing despite all these things being true about LSU you still got a love them. And after all these years in the conference I understand why you guys put up with them.

Arkansas is my favorite SEC rival so far. We have a recent history prior to the SEC I can identify with. It’s nice getting to play them outside of Dallas.

TBH I don't know if the LSU insecurity is innate for all LSU people or is a product of this board being mostly LSU
I think the latter is part of it, it's their board so when life goes on without LSU really featuring in anything (as is often the case). That's why you see them freak out a little and they feel compelled to awkwardly insert LSU's existence into every conversation, even if it has nothing to do with LSU.

Say what you like about "insecurities" but not having a championship season since Germany invaded Poland forces a fanbase to find and point out other avenues of success. Money, 12th man, gimmicky shite like helicopters and victory cups. Def the most entertaining fan base on this board in terms of comedic relief.

I mean a dog runs this place. I feel like it has existed long enough to have a separate non LSU identity. It has its own people and culture.
