I would think the ABC games will have a new big-time feel when the SEC takes over. It will carry the primetime matchups and marquee rivalries that we care most about.

Nation knows the Sec stomps OSU and Michigan.

Pretty sure that CBS saw what Sankey pulled with ESPN and said there is no reason to get in a bidding war when Sankey and ESPN are already in cahoots.

It's not off brand for northerners to act arrogantly towards the south then wonder why their tax base and business flees south.

Am I the only on e pissed that CBS didn't want to give the SEC it's true market value, but is willing to pay the fricking B1G $330M?
Yeah, I'm pissed that when I was a kid my dad didn't buy a ferrari, but spent $15k on a goddamn taurus!

Tide Failed CFP Trips: 4
Tide Successful CFP Trips: 2 (one was fake)
Overall, losing effort

I would love that for LSU. Any fan would love that for their team.

As I have read about this, the SEC gave CBS the greatest deal in history in order to get the SEC national exposure. I believe that was done when Roy Kramer was the commish.
CBS never paid market value for what they received. It just so happened the SEC started on a great run at the same time.
CBS got a great deal for them and the SEC got great national exposure.

After all is said and done, the B1G is still the rust belt. The south is this country's future; Michigan and Ohio the past.

Willy T, you are one sick bastard.

I agree CBS puts on a great production and I don’t know what they do different with the video but the field just looks better on one of their broadcasts. One would think other networks could at least figure that one out.

Big Ten might have played Sankey and the SEC
Three networks with their inventory and the SEC has to do whatever ESPN/ABC tell them, if ESPN puts more content on ESPN + I'm gonna be pissed!

quote:They will absolutely have to. That's how we as fans will be fricked. Even with putting a 3pm game on ABC and the traditional night game, they still won't have enough channels to put all the SEC games on until we get into conference play.

quote:The national exposure wasn't really needed, honestly. Well maybe, if you factor in the added revenue allowing SEC schools to get the best coaches like Meyer and Saban. Even with that, the SEC will always have a demographical advantage over the rest of the nation not including Clemson because the best players in the country are found in the south.

Hopefully we wont have those 5 minute commercial breaks with ABC.
Right? I've heard nothing but bitching about how long the games take and how bad Verne/Gary are for years and now all of a sudden people are pissed CBS got B1G games?
Make up your minds people.
