matter of time. Either conference can expand quickly and have their pick of new members. They can make their own rules and cut Notre Dame and weaker conferences out of the $$$$ game because an SEC/ B1G league will have the best product (content) by far.

Not really. But I expect that dumb slut Greg $ankey to agree to a 24 team CFP before he’s shitcanned and the new league is formed.

I doubt that they form their own league. They're going to walk away from men's and women's March Madness or the other sports that the NCAA sponsors?

They are going to make new rules and continue to be taken to court? They are going to be granted limited antitrust status?

You act like they can wave a magic wand and put Humpty Dumpty back together again. They can't.

They won't be any better at administering college sports than the NCAA. Why? Because they are incapable of self governance without stepping on their dicks.

I think putting all the big brands(the ppl who try to find ways to bend or break rules) would definitely fix a lot of it. The sec can say one transfer, but if the big 10 12 or acc doesnt do the same you can’t really enforce it. But if they were all under onr umbrella you could. Now you couldnt stop tjem transferring to western Kentucky or Tulsa but do those schools have enough cash(or willingness to spend) to get a bunch of transfers probably not.

I'm not sure what it'll take, legally speaking, but the NCAA has got to go. Somehow, someway, it just does. They can't keep up, and college football is now being steamrolled with one senseless decision after another. The adults in the room are mindlessly throwing money at anything that moves.

My prediction: Playoff pain, and plenty of it, is the recipe that motivates the haves to finally pull away from the have-nots. There is no pain like watching better teams sit it out as these inferior conference champions find their way to the playoffs year after year. Here's hoping for the worst that can happen. And the sooner, the better.

Was really hoping the SEC would've shown up in the past 4-5 years and we would play kingmaker for this super conference. Aside of UGA, we haven't had much representation. OM had a great run last year but that seems like a one-off.

In order to do that, they need to be able to pass enforceable rules - which seems to be an issue at the moment in general.

Yeah but the sec is still king in eyeballs, and while there’s no bragging rights or trophies for that distinction everyone from players, coaches, schools, conferences, and tv networks have made it crystal clear this is all about money. Eyeballs is what drives the money so in that regard the sec is still the loudest voice in the room.

No doubt

I want N Carolina, Duke, Fla St and Va Tech to join us

If Notre Dame wasn’t a bunch of puddin’ pusses I would want them in the SEC but they “ain’t man enough” as the late, great Pat Dye used to say

Let’s have a 20 team league and get this party started

An SEC/Big only league would be the true end of college sports. It would alienate much of the college sports fanbase.

Maybe the sport is already alienated amongst D1. 90 percent of tv viewing comes from 66 out of a 140ish teams.

Who? Missouri? Vandy ?Florida? Tennessee?A&M? Texas? Miss St? Ole Miss? Auburn? Kentucky? Oklahoma? South Carolina? Arkansas?

Only Three schools over last 20 plus’ years have made the SEC what it is.

No.1. Alabama
No 2. LSU
No.3. Georgia.

All you other wannabes can just pound sand!

Bama is on the way back to rescue your fragile egos. LSU is breaking all the rules trying to get back so you all can scream SEC SEC SEC!
Georgia? Sorry , but they’re on the decline

Texas? lol. They always think highly of themselves and stumble
OU? Possible
Aggie? Still think all their oil money will help. Don’t think so.
Florida? Possible but need a damn good coach and their new guy is just another retread.
Tennessee? Possible but not with current coach
Arkansas? Once proud program but can’t recruit

All others, forget about it.

Bruh if Texas 8&4 had any common sense, they would spend some of that oil money on transfers that have skins on the wall instead of trying to win the high school recruiting award every year only for the kids to bust or transfer after a year and getting the bag. But oh well lol.

Zebras will put sanctions on LSWho? if no one else does.

Won't be a thing they can do about it.
