Dead on. Unless we find out that Kiffin is funneling state secrets to China and Iran, then Sankey has acted extremely inappropriately in this whole fiasco.
Remember, there was a period of about a week where these players had been declared eligible by a court order, and nothing had been done. It wasn't until some were rumored to be going to LSU (instead of returning to Ole Miss) that Sankey started blustering.
Kiffin took advantage of the situation at hand in maybe an unsavory way, but the initial "kids will be prevented from keeping their roster spots" remark, something Sankey and his lawyers claimed, was bullshite. LSU had open roster spots, nobody lost a place. Monken made a goofy comment about Kiffin calling him, apparently as a joke, but that was walked back once people started calling him on it.
Ole Miss could just as easily be condemned for Chambliss taking away "a kid's" chance to start at QB, or make the roster. He was also ruled ineligible by the NCAA, and is playing under a court order. No righteous indignation on that front, just a "I'm not at liberty to comment on that matter". Just out of spite, I'd like one of the player's attorneys to confront him on that, and demand him to explain how eligibility rulings can be so arbitrary. I think we'll see that at another courtroom down the road.

There's a reason the SEC doesn't give us live views or let us hear the audio of the replay officials in real time like the ACC and Big 12 does. They are in on the corruption and they obviously can't let fans hear how they are biased towards certain schools when it comes to calls.

Games won’t be close enough for referee impact.
Refs will make it close. Too many instances where SEC refs have impacted games to protect certain teams.

It will shock me if the SEC refs give LSU any 50/50 type calls. That's where it's going to show up is on those plays. Alot of fans are talking about this very subject so the SEC big wigs won't be stupid and make it obvious. I don't think they will tell refs to just make blatant bad calls against LSU where it's so obvious because Sankey and others don't want to deal with all the media and shite-storm it would cause, on top of their shite-storm they've got going right now. I think it will be subtle but fans who know ball will recognize it.
I will say this, there was always the rumor going around that the SEC couldn't force a school to not hire Hugh Freeze back in to the conference but it was known that Sankey and co. didn't want Freeze back in the SEC. Then when Auburn hired Freeze, we started seeing alot of calls not going in our favor. I won't get into all of that but for 3 years that Freeze was here, that's the most calls that went against us in forever.
Same exact story when we hired Bruce Pearl during his show-cause period. Auburn seemed to always get hosed on alot more calls than ever before and it seemed to keep happening for the first couple years Bruce was here at Auburn. Then it swung back to being more normal type officiating in our games.
In my opinion, LSU will probably be on the bad end of ALOT of calls for the foreseeable future because Sankey and the SEC seem to be that petty.

Yup and when we sued to get that prima-dona Nico eligible after the NIL thing - the NCAA and CFP rewarded us by not giving us a home playoff game but instead a road game at the eventual champ Ohio St.

Kiffin has LSU (his team) focused and ready to fight the world right now. We haven't seen that in over half a decade.
