I’ll start by saying I’m 100% against voting LSU out. Rivalries aside, it’s ridiculous that a commissioner can pick and choose what is right and wrong depending on who does it, while claiming some situations are worse than others (bama basketball was worse). No one person should have that much power.

That being said, LSU’s biggest problem now might not even be getting voted out — it might be SEC officiating. I wouldn’t be surprised if LSU starts getting screwed left and right at every opportunity, to the point where LSU eventually doesn’t even want to be part of the league anymore.

LSU is NOT bigger than the SEC- no team is. But neither is a thin-skinned commissioner.

This whole situation is an embarrassment to the SEC and, most importantly, the commissioner.

Offseason is over. Let’s play ball.

Games won’t be close enough for referee impact.

Just wait until we have a judge on the sideline issuing TROs for shitty calls.

Agreed. Good post. It’s ridiculous and I’m kind of tired of talking about it.

Already there

And why would ANY other school be ok with that thinking it couldn’t happen to them?

I’ve been saying the same since this started. How can you stay in a conference that wants your coaches head?

LSU has to move on.

Yeah one has to go. And which one should the SEC pick.

1) A founding member of the SEC and National Title contender in multiple sports.

2) A commissioner who has done nothing genuinely positive for the SEC. A commissioner who botched the last TV contract and let the Big 10 fly by the SEC with a far better TV contract.

I know which one I'm going with.

LSU will have to be 20 points better than Ole Miss in a week and a half, to where the SEC can't rig it. If that game is even 7 - 10 points and somewhat close, the SEC will find a way to screw LSU out of a win.

Is that the way the 15 other schools want the conference to operate? Kinda hard to stand on the values of fair competition when the conference targets a member.

Today LSU, then tomorrow who? How about the day after that?
