All that stuff from the 1st game won't mean jack come Jan 9th.
Some say 9-6, some say Bama missed more opportunities, some say it was or wasn't a interception, and things like this won't matter.
Each game has it's own heartbeat

Now I feel good about Bama's chances this next game, but if Bama doesn't play field position football this game. They just might lose again. Plus, I like the fact Bama knows JJ is LSU's QB this time around. More JJ game-film study with this seasons LSU offense should payoff. Saban & Staff are awesome at preparing, but in game surprises sometimes gets them.

Alabama could have easily won the LSU game by 10. Bama created more opportunities to win it than LSU and some very unusual things had to happen for [Alabama] to lose it.

LOL, whatever you need to tell yourself at night. LSU could have easily won by 14, an astroid could have easily hit on Nov 5, a train could easily derail, Bama could have easily never got into the red zone and not score a touchdown. Of those things only one thing easily happened.

All Alabama needs is a little consistancy on special teams.
And to get into the red zone once or twice in a game. And not to go backward once they get anywhere in the vicinity of the red zone.

Neither of which has anything to do with special teams, hoss.

The only missed LSU play was the JJ overthrow at the end of the 1st half. That would have given you 4 more pts. So, how do you win by 10?
Ford stepping out unforced in OT - that's 4 more. But I suppose the game wouldn't have gone to OT. Also converting on one of several chances inside the five.

1) We had the pass at the goal line (int by Reid). That's 7.
And this was your best scoring chance of the game. A pass from a WR to a TE. That's 7 bankable points.
quote:

2) The block in the back on the Baron int that would have us at the 3yrd line. 7vs3 +4
As well as the other illegal block on a giftwrapped INT. We even.
quote:

3) 4 missed FG's. 3 missed in regulation 3-9pts.

See earlier coaching comment.

Talk about a delusional fan base. What you guys won't admit is how close that game was.
Delusional = syncopating a close game that your team lost in a narrative that argues the game should have been a blowout, but for the score.

Someone should get you a dictionary for christmas. If "delusional" had an accompanying illustration its form would be topped with a scripted A ball cap.

After reading this break down, I think it's obvious Bama wins.

Ketchup,

You're singing the same song Oregon and West Virginia sang before you. LSU 'didn't win. We just didn't play well.' Please, please come back here on Jan. 10 and let us know why the Crimson Dwarf blew it again. No doubt, LSU didn't win..I'll even give you that to make you feel better; just tell us why Bama didn't play well - again!

Stopped right here.

You can play the 'if' game and say this for every close game in the history of college football.

LSU also could have easily won by 10.

Not that it matters because it was OT but you wouldn't have kicked the extra pt. So, you win by 6.

What other chances did you have inside the 5? I already mentioned the JJ pass before half. +4

I don't count all the other chances like AJ missing Gibson and throwing it to the wrong guy. Gibson was open for TD. You probably had a couple too.

With one trip into the red zone. That would have required a miracle and the Good Lord decided not to intervene on the Tide's behalf. Sweet!
