What we all know is the fact that it was one slugfest of a football game. I am glad it is happening again, no doubt we have the best two teams playing for the championship. See y'all in New Orleans. A matchup of divisional rivals for the championship will probably never happen again. All the what if's, will be settled on the field.

You guys remind me a lot of the UGa Dawgs in '03.
Yes the Dawgs AA PK missed 2 or 3 FG in 03 and UGa had more scoring opps. Every Dawg fan and most pundits thought UGa was better. After all, the had more star power with David Pollack, David Greene, et al.
What all the asshats couldn't wrap their biased minds around was that UGa lost those scoring chances because of LSU's defense.
Oh yeah, Dawg fans and SEC media were sure the Dawgs would win in Atlanta. The result, a beat down of the puppies.
LSU has improved since Nov 5 and have been tested since then. Bama had a cakewalk since their LOSS!

I don't read the SECR that much, thus my question is sincere and heartfelt ...

Are all you gumps this fricking dumb?

Okay, fine, let's just assume this shite is true.

If Alabama in all their complete superiority could not execute at home with 2 weeks to prepare in the 2nd biggest game of the year, then why in the mother frick will they be able to execute on the road in the 1st biggest game of the year?

One of the most effective ways to convince people what you're saying is true is to acknowledge the points in favor of what you're arguing against and debunk them. When you can't do this, trivial things like facts get in the way.

So could LSU.

More? LSU effectively kept Bama out of the red zone, blocked a FG, made a key INT and effectively flipped field position all game long with a freshman punter. List yours.

Those facts are widely acknowledged and the reason the voters set the rematch.
Maybe in Alabama.

quote:

In the SECCG Georgia completely dominated LSU . . .
. . . for one quarter on offense and two on defense - but you know that.

quote:

The Tigers found a running game in the second half to pressure and fatigue UGAs D but it was their special teams play that devastated the dogs.
This is how LSU has won all season long - save the Bama game.

quote:

Alabama couldn't have played much worse on special teams.
It's called coaching, and it starts at the top.

quote:

A little consistancy on special teams is all Bama needs to prevail and take home it's 14th NC.

ketchupmoney; You make some good points but LSU made plays when we had to and the Tide did miss out on some. I'm sure some of the same will happen for both teams in the NC.

You call 30yrds passing by JJ improvement? He's regressed to 09' levels. And what's this cakewalk business? Did you have a hard schedule since? What did I miss? Oh, Hogs, I forgot. We beat them by 24. UGA, I don't know but I suppose AJ would have had more than 30 yrds passing.

LSU has more RB's now. Ok but only one of them will run the ball each play and none of them are a TR.
HB7's been running back punts. Ok but Bama kicks straight up 38 yards. No chance for return.

Excuse me if I'm not too worried about LSU's improvement.

The only missed LSU play was the JJ overthrow at the end of the 1st half. That would have given you 4 more pts. So, how do you win by 10?

1) We had the pass at the goal line (int by Reid). That's 7.
2) The block in the back on the Baron int that would have us at the 3yrd line. 7vs3 +4
3) 4 missed FG's. 3 missed in regulation 3-9pts.

We had several more missed opportunities but these were the ones that are instant point makers.
Talk about a delusional fan base. What you guys won't admit is how close that game was. It's like you dominated the whole game or something.

why don't you know? Its almost like you didn't even make it to your conference title game or something. Is that a good thing?

the TR that did jackshit on 11/5 other than get 25 yards on a couple swing passes were he was left completely uncovered? The TR that quit in the 2010 LSU game? The TR that dropped a pass in his gut in overtime because he didn't want to be hit anymore?

we were the team that got inside the red zone multiple times. I think 7 + 7 is more than 10.

lol ok?

2 blocks in the back on one return. Sorry, cheating is not allowed (well I know it normally is for you by SEC refs, but not this time)

3) 4 missed FG's. 3 missed in regulation 3-9pts.

3 missed by a guy who was 1 for 3 on the year and is now 2 for 9. 1 49yarder missed by a little girl with a season long of 37 yards. What did you expect? You made it inside the redzone once, to the fricking 17 and you got points on that drive. Stop pretending like you should have scored any more.

LSU could have easily won by 55
If Shep doesnt fall down,
Mo returns the int for 6,
JLee doesnt throw a horrible pick which gave alabama HALF of their points,
etc, etc, etc....

see how this works?

now shut the frick up. 9-6. deal with it

So the penalty against Mathieu against Dre didn't hurt us? 30 yard return called back? I see how it works, only Bama penalties hurt Bama.

Trent fumbling the ball, if he had just been 1 foot mire in bounds, that's Tigers' ball.

Russell Shepard falling down untouched. Should have been a touchdown.

Uncalled picks by Bama went uncalled. These made for your longer plays.

If our QB doesnt throw the ball right to your DB, Twice, then the game ends in regulation with the Tigers winning.

That misoppirtunity shiet works both ways.

Tigers won. Bama lost.

The facts are that your coach spent all day Saturday on ESPN pleading his case for a re-match while LSU and Oklahoma State were playing football for conference championships.

Those are the facts.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years to you and yours.
