Don't worry about it Ross. Seriously, don't let it get to you. There's no point. Just enjoy the season right now buddy

say that he called Saban to Bama,

geez that was hard.

Hell - I called the actual date Saban would announce a month prior.

Guy seems more bitter than anything . Booted from the SEC? It would have to be some extreme shite.

Posters in this thread who have vouched for him say that he called Saban to Bama, the Dareus ordeal, and the Julio/Ingram fishing trip before the media did, in addition to being right about all kinds of recruiting stuff. Sounds like he or someone very close to him works in the Alabama AD.
while i'll admit those are pretty good calls and likely to have come with someone with inside info from the bama ad office, how would the same someone have similar info coming out of auburn?

probably not the best advice right now. I'd worry, but be optimistic.

Well worrying is understandable, but at the same time it's kind of pointless. It isn't going to change what may or may not happen

I want a time machine to take me to Wednesday to be honest.

I'm with others though in that the post sounds highly emotional and void of factual information.

Any information he's got comes from the FBI because the NCAA and Auburn have engaged in numerous meeting this week and everything went well on that front. That brings up the question, how the hell would he get info from the FBI? Does he know Kenny Rogers?

What were some of the things he called correctly?

Saban hiring. Marcel Dareus. Julio/Ingram fishing trip. Countless recruits. He also called the Cam will play Saturday when every BOL poster was saying he wouldn't. I don't know of him ever being wrong. If he posts it, it happens. If this doesn't come to fruition it will be the first time he's been wrong. I'm not fricking around either.

FWIW, his post seems sensationalist.
I agree and that is VERY different than his normal posts which would really worry me if I was AU fan. His sensationalist opinion is based on what he knows and trust me he knows it.

Ross, I like you and you are the type of AU fan that I would never wish any ill-will on, but this isn't good for you guys. You and other AU fans like you need to stop defending Cam and AU and you should start asking the higher ups the tough questions. Unfortunately, I have a feeling it's you good AU fans that will suffer the most. You guys are going to want to kill these bastards after you find out what's been going on.

It wouldn't have to come out of Auburn. No doubt people in the Bama AD have contacts at the NCAA (there's a good joke in there ) and the SEC offices. Maybe this guy works in the compliance department. Who knows. I have no clue if he is credible or not. Everyone seems to think he is though.

Our higher ups have defended Newton and our handling from the get go. There are no questions to ask, if we're hammered, they utterly failed and should resign.

Yeah I remember W&L. I never spoke to him, but I know the few times I ever saw any of his posts, what he said was pretty spot on for the most part. He has a pretty damn good rep for being right.

All the while Tommy Tuberville is kicking back in Texas while watching this unfold. One smart guy right there.

i think the lynch mob showing up on their front steps would be more likely before they got the chance to resign

Not all of them. There is a faction at your university that did not want Cam to play. That is why so many people thought he wouldn't play.

I've heard there was some division in with the Athletic Dept and other factions at Au over this. Any truth to that rumor or anything you've heard concerning that?

Bobby Knight reminds me of this neighbor I once had.

He would say obviously pathetic things like "but what about all the good things Hitler did. . ."

re: BOL'ers...how credible is W&L?

I think everyone would be surprised at who some of these people actually are on these forums. And, if you sift through the shite, they can be rather obvious, even if they are crafty at covering their trails. I'll say this again, too, it is human nature to spill the beans, it is quite rare for a cold blooded killer to never tell anyone, that's how the majority of them get caught/convicted, so if you have say a former sports editor from a major market with a current extensive law enforcement background on a sports forum, who has contacts and understands both processes, that person could be very credible in cases like these, and very dangerous I might add, if they have an agenda. Here's a key: It is pretty easy to tell by what they predict, though, to what actually happens, when all kidding is put aside.

I have heard nothing at all about that. I hear what gets reported on the news and what Auburn boards buzz about, and what I read here.

So far today I've heard nothing but encouraging news. Well, until this obviously.
