One of the biggest problems is the fires and riots happen all over the town
and for the record, morgantown is more similar to a suburb of pittsburgh than it is most of the rest of WV, not including the northern and eastern panhandles (esp eastern)

quote:really, this only goes on strictly at WVU.
Well a majority of the school isn't even from WV, so lets not get facts in the way when throwing out blanket statements.
Its a bunch of rich out of state kids.
or does it?

from what i am told by my classmates, most of whom are from WV and went to undergrad here, many (certainly not all) of those perpetrating the craziest behavior are either from out of state or do not even go to school here. exhibit A:
the incident that occurred last year resulted in 2 arrests for those who turned a car over: 1, a WVU student from maryland, and the 2nd, a student who was visiting from U of S Carolina.

Stupid to riot at night after you win a noon game.
i thought that might diminish the reaction a little bit, boy was i wrong.
this is why we can't have nice things in motown:

Baylor has more penalty yards than offensive yards so far :rotflmao:

Read the comments below that video. Most people seem to think it was a clean hit
re: Car Suggestions - ~$45,000 budget

i would cut the budget by at least a third, then look at makes and models with a better reliability and dependability rating than most you have listed.
only ones on your list i would drive are prob the audis, but i'd only have one with full factory warranty on it.

I get all of mine done at the dealership. It is free there. You should have gotten that included with your vehicle purchase.

quote:just about everything you said is completely accurate, yet still didnt prevent the US Navy from shooting down an Iranian airliner in 1988. we're even talking about the US military making this collosal frickup, not just a bunch of backwoods russian yahoos who just happened to score a surface to air missile launcher.

now that it's been properly diagnosed he can get the proper monitoring of his condition and care. the treatment options have come a long way and his life expectancy should approach 70, though it won't be without its significant challenges.
and i agree, i feel terrible for him, especially this close to the draft. the interview on espn was just heart-wrenching.

quote:
I don't understand how his eye injury was due to Marfan Syndrome; however, I am ignorant towards the disease.
"Marfan syndrome is caused by mutations in the gene that encodes a protein called fibrillin. Fibrillin helps connective tissue maintain its strength, and therefore, some fibers and other parts of connective tissue undergo changes that ultimately weaken the tissue. The weakening affects bones and joints as well as internal structures, such as the heart, blood vessels, and eyes. Weakened tissues stretch, distort, and can even tear. For example, the aorta may weaken, bulge, or tear. Connective tissues that join structures may weaken or break, separating formerly attached structures. For example, the eye's lens or retina may separate from its normal attachments."

quote:yes, it absolutely is. they may have missed diagnosing marfan's back in middle school when he suffered the vision loss because i believe they attributed it to an on-court injury. while that may be true, the same injury that resulted in his retinal detachment would have likely not caused any serious eye injury to one without marfan's. some people with marfan's simply suffer retinal detachment spontaneously.
I wonder if this whole marfans thing is connected In anyway to his blindness problem.
