I am not sure where Ole Miss is planning on going with this, but Leo Lewis is going to hurt their case against Ole Miss.
They probably had enough without him and Ole Miss self imposed sanctions were good enough. They got greedy trying to make a statement.

Ole miss wants to bring other teams down so damn bad bc they know what's about to happen to them. Good luck with that.

wasn't he granted immunity by the NCAA? not sure why a tape would change that
When granted immunity, it all hinges on totally honesty when interviewed. IF some tape exists, that contradicts his testimony OR brings up new violations on his part that weren't disclosed....then immunity deal would be off.

BarneyFarrar is going to be the end of hugh freeze. He is pretty pissed the way it's all going down with him looking like the rogue coach, when he knows freeze knew about it all. Farrar is going to frick ole miss over bigtime. He has a serious vendetta against freeze and he wants to bring him down with him. He has every right to be pissed too, I know I would be.

Nope, nope, nope.
The sin that OM committed was when an Associate AD introduced boosters to a prospective student-athlete.
Ole Miss admitted to this. The booster/student-athlete relationship was bad, but not the deadly sin.
Without beating that entire allegation, CHF has no chance of beating the LOIC. So Ole Miss is fighting the only vulnerable part of the allegation, with the only defense they have - casting doubt on an 18 year olds testimony.
It's a tale told by an idiot; full of sound and fury; signifying nothing

So Ole Miss is doing everything it can to drag Leo down with them?
Is this a Batman thread, instead of a Spider-Man thread?

Oh, the lack of institutional control is going to stick. They're just dragging this out to try and fight it as much as they can and to look as innocent as possible while trying. Hell, I don't blame them for trying, but it ain't gonna work out for them. They better hope the ncaa doesn't take this backing hugh freeze as disrespect and another lie by their administration. They will remember it in the penalty phase.

Clearly you did not read Farrar's response. He pretty much defends Freeze in his closing statement. Hugh Freeze might be done and it might be what Farrar did that screws Freeze, but Farrar is not going after Freeze.

I have to agree. OM is trying to deflect and it is going to blow up in their face. Much like when MS told the NCAA that Cam's daddy was asking for money. Unless they can prove it with a paper trail, nothing will materialize from it. The mother could have been playing OM for more money, my gosh, have they never heard of collective bargaining?
I am so ready for them to just carpet bomb that whole section of the state. Let the Grove be Ground Zero.

No, Barney Farrar is not out to get Ole Miss or Hugh Freeze. Actually, it is the opposite. Here is his statement in that regard: "However, before he turns to the task before him, he wants to give a message and request to the panel on behalf of Coach Freeze and Ole Miss: In his time on Coach Freeze’s staff, Coach Freeze never asked Farrar to break any NCAA rule but always reinforced how important it was that he follow the rules and maintain the highest standards of conduct. Farrar expresses his hope that this panel will give Ole Miss and Hugh Freeze every opportunity and consideration in these proceedings. It is deserved."

Barney is definitely denying everything, and not blaming CHF.
But
Without knowing Freeze's defense, we can't know if Barney's denial is good or bad for Hugh.

If the NCAA gives a school immunity to help them out with a case and then turn around and use that player's testimony to hurt the school he attends, they will never get to use immunity again. Anyone that thinks this is going to blow back on anyone other than Ole Miss has lost their fricking mind.

So is he now "begging the University" to take him back under their fold? Sounds to me like he is telling them underhandedly that he knows where the bodies are buried. Why would any fool come out and say that the University did nothing wrong, when they , in their statement, basically admitted that all of the things which were done wrong were done by Farrer? He would be an idiot to even allude a statement such as this.
