The IDEAL candidates to be Bama's next HC (in order)

1. Demeco Ryans (don't think he would accept, but the job should be his if he wants it)
- If you listened to his opening presser with the Texans, you can see the guy gets "it". Seems like he is built for college coaching ironically.
2. Sark (if he can somehow be pryed away from Texas)
- with nil and transfer portal its impossible to dominate on talent alone. Game is and will be much more dependent on X's and Os moving forward with the expanded playoff and Sark can scheme it up better than anyone.
3. Dabo/Lanning
- With the ACC falling behind it might be a good time for Dabo to jump ship. Not sure Alabama would want him but he's a proven winner.
For those of you suggesting Kiffin. Guy hasn't proven himself to be disciplined and professional enough to be the Bama head coach.

I think Norvell makes the most sense

Texas is a better job than Bama

You're not getting 4 out of 5 of those, so you might as well forget about them.
The only one with a chance is dabo.

Im not denying that, but then again no one ever thought Saban would leave the NFL for Bama. I am just saying what would be IDEAL for Alabama.

Norvells wiki says Alabama HC. Lol.

You make kirby go ahead and say no, he makes the most sense and sabans protégé(unfortunately he's at his Alma mater) after that you hit up sark, then couple of nfl guys then kiffen then dabo then Lanning(I think this is worst case scenario)

Already turned down the “coach in waiting job” to pick Texas, built up Texas (he’s in the best state for CFB recruiting), won’t outbid Texas for a head coach that has shown success at Texas… lastly his wife won’t agree with leaving Austin for Tuscaloosa.

Kiffin is the best candidate. He ain’t scared to follow Saban.

I like kiffen. I think a school like ole miss might be his ceiling. I could be wrong but kiffen seems to lack the work ethic/professionalism to head a blue blood again.

Norvell would be a better hire than anyone else they’re mentioning. That dude turned around an ACC dumpster fire and went 13-0.

Norvell should be considered but only after Demeco and Sark (I know those two are very unlikely to be interested)

Nope not after his childlessness after the playoff announcement

Right. Some people don't know Sark has a black wife. It's likely she prefers Austin to Tuscaloosa.

If Bama doesn't hire Kiffin he will beat Bama like a drum for years. Kiffin is damn good in all phases of being a head coach and CEO.
