What the atheists want is to force their beliefs on others.

While I think atheists that care at all what organized religions do are idiots wasting their time, let’s not pretend many religions don’t include some form of recruiting new members that aren’t looking to be recruited.

Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam all include some aspect of proselytization (recruitment). You can say they’re not “forcing their beliefs” but when I’m not asking and they keep coming up, it’s about the same thing as the atheists pushing their opinions.

Only a matter of time before he’s up to his old Ole Miss tricks.

There is a big movement on campuses right now with large number baptisms and big worship events. It’s good to see some people finding hope in Christ and not in this lost world.

You are spot on about the Constitution. That group does not have standing on this.

I know Freeze has messed up in a lot of bad ways but this is not one of them. I read an article about this event and the organizers are trying to give hope to a lost and broken generation. They even helped prevent a girl from suicide.

Good job Auburn and the people involved. Don’t let this group scare y’all from spreading the good news.

I don’t how much he has repented for his sins, but that said, your past doesn’t have to define you. For about a decade after Afghanistan I was a drunk scum bag biker that couldn’t be relied upon for anything, never stepped in amChurch during this time. lost a wife, lost a lot of friends, made really bad friends but then I had a very big health scare in 2017. Now I’m rarely if ever in a bar, I’ve not only returned to Church, but I volunteer and usher. I sponsor kids abroad thru Compassion International, and have been a foster parent for the last two years. I don’t know what’s in Freeze’s heart, but I’d suggest not writing someone off for the sins of their past

Do you really believe that is what “Brother Hugh” is doing? There are many sinister people hiding behind the cloak of religion. Does not feel genuine and something is not quite right here.

Neither of us has any reason to doubt anything here.

Coaches and teachers are employees of the schools and should not be taking part in religious events because of the separation of state and church.

He is making no laws establishing a state religion, he is simply exercising his first amendment rights, being a state or federal, employee doesn’t mean you can be relogious

It’s Auburn sir.
They are a spiritual institution, they have a creed they live by and they are a very close knit group. Others just wouldn’t understand.

Now the fact that Hugh Freeze performed the baptism kinda makes the skin crawl. But at the end of the day a young person was brought to Christ, and that can be celebrated IMO.

You're embarrassing

Maybe but I've been to where Jesus was supposedly born, baptized, ate the last supper, arrested, crucified, resurrected, and ascended.

Not too many Christians can say that. Too busy planning trips to bowl games that are more important.

Is it just Christianity this FFCS people have with Auburn?

What if Bruce donned his yarmulke and arranged the young man’s bar mitvah?

There is something fundamentally different about believing that someone is in peril and seeking to "convert" them to save them, and believing someone is just believing something untrue and wanting to rid them of superstition because you're annoyed by what they believe.

The logical conclusion of Atheism is Nihilism, so why should an Atheist care if someone else is religious?

Exactly right. With freedom and liberty comes tolerance. Suck it up buttercup.
