I remember seeing a lot of people say this in 2009 and 2011 too.

I tend to think that watching these TV contracts explode would be proof that college football is growing in popularity.

I'd dispute your list but it is turrrrrrrible.

I'm sorry that JFF ravaged your girlfriend. The kid is just out of control.

Tebow, RGIII, Ricky Williams played for teams that all had home losses and dropped 3+ games overall. So... that's about 25% of the trophies awarded in the last 15 years. Go back further and you can find winners from sub-.500 squads.

Realize Vandy isn't exactly a powerhouse in the sport, but does that mean you haven't watched any other college football, ever?

Seems to me they finally got it right and awarded best player in CFB...not a pretty good player on the best team. JFF dwarfed everyone elses individual accomplishments easily this year.

toothless wonders should consider before comparing Bryant to Saban.

Bryant won 13 CC's additionally but...Saban has 4 NC's in last 8 years of CFB coaching so I wouldn't say a comparison is 'toothless'...maybe a bit premature but there's plenty of time to see.

3. Big Ten football is a dumpster fire.

So? When B10 finally saw the money they were losing by only sending Champion to Rose what happened? A couple of years later tOSU got trounced by SEC rep UA 35-6...not much has changed since then. You specified modern so...Michigan has a grand total of 1 major #1 in modern football.

If you are talking about quality, the parity that exists due to plethora of media outlets and scholarship reductions...I would argue population increase has made up for this plus guys are stronger, faster and bigger nowadays.

Go to a draft for the NCAA OR reduce the scholarships allowed. Lower it to 50 players on a team.

50 if you want to make it tougher for teams to win.

Right now, if you want to look at it in these terms, the schools with the most money recruit better.

Drop the number to 50 and it spreads the talent.

2. The modern dynasty team Bama lost at least one game AT HOME the past three seasons. This is something you toothless wonders should consider before comparing Bryant to Saban. In the Bryant era a 1 loss SEC team had virtually no chance at a championship. If they did, Bryant would have potentially 4 additional titles.

Bryant also coached in an era where Alabama was the only great team in the SEC. He was good, don't get me wrong, but parity in the SEC was non-existent in the 70s. From 1971-1981, Alabama lost a mere 4 conference games.

Definitely not a Vandy grad, that's for certain. I highly doubt he even knows what state Vandy is located in.

Probably an alter whose previous account was banned for admitting he fingerbanged his sister.

the first part of this post is dumb, but the rest is solid.

college football as a whole around the nation is way down...but that could be because the SEC is just so good it's making everyone else look bad in comparison.

the college football world really needs the B1G and the Big 12(10) to get their shite together

I agree. It's just another Cyclical part of the the college game. Tell me the last time every single conference was dominating? You can't, because it's basically not possible. In the 90s it was Nebraska, Florida State, and Florida. The rest of the teams in those conferences were good to average at best. Nothing is different other than a power shift.
