I somewhat agree, but the tradition of those games are important. I think they’re important to the conference overall. I can’t imagine an SEC season without DSOR, or the Iron Bowl, or TSIO, or The Egg Bowl...
It’s easier to address with 9 conference games. That even leaves room for a p5 and a couple of tomato cans.
Edit: it simply should not take so long for teams to rotate on / off the schedule.

10 conference games and a ACC or Big12 challenge type setup with 1 cupcake

You can play them as non conference games when not on the conference schedule. I'm not saying don't play them if they mean so much to the schools.

Even during a losing streak.. Florida fans WANT to play Georgia... and vice versa. Those type games shouldn’t have to be scheduled as OOC.

Those are on the same side not relevant.
You have two meaningful series for 4 schools: UGA-AU and Bama-Tenn. Florida - LSU is marquee but neither school minds not playing every year.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS TRASH.

1. Forbid scheduling FCS teams.
2. Play 9 or even 10 SEC games every year.

I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It sucks we missed FSU this year though. Would have been nice to drop 60 on them.

Many of the Florida fans around Jacksonville sure seem to look at the LSU game as a rivalry..
Where I think we’d make the most progress is to do away with divisions, have the two best meet in Atlanta. The SEC would never allow... we’d prolly not have a chance of getting two teams in the CFP again.

The best rivalry in the east now outside of the coctail party is South Carolina and Tennessee.
I'd put UF vs Tenn next.
Then Tenn vs UGA
