Agree 100%. Hate polls and rankings decided by media or committees. Hope that one day we just take conference champs.

Georgia got murdered by Auburn. Murdered. The gap between them was wild. Auburn averaged 5.2 yards a rush and Georgia averaged 1.4. If Auburn did that, what would Bama do to them? The drop is justified. Auburn took Georgias bread and butter and made it mold.

I personally would like to see AU beat Bama in Iron bowl in a close one, beat UGa in Sec title and beat Bama for Natty after beating Clemson in semi final.

I would have an erection for more than four hours.

You sir, are a moron. In your first post you said UGA was punished too harshly. In your second post you basically said they not only got thrashed by AU but would lose to Bama.

Which is it? They aren’t a championship caliber team? Or they are and just can’t hang with the other ( which means they aren’t)

I want to agree, but Auburn laid a serious beating on them. Auburn's a talented team but no #1 team should be dominated that thoroughly. Dropping to 7 doesn't seem particularly unfair after that.

But, just to contradict myself and talk nonsense, I also honestly believe that if the CFP were to start tomorrow, UGA would deserve to be one of the 4 teams. I'm a strange and complicated man.

Nah, they were lucky to still be in the top 10. That was a very bad loss, especially with ND losing badly as well.

I don't get Clemson over Miami. I know it doesn't matter, but I don't get it.

Clemson has beaten 10 P5 teams with winning records, including #6 AU. Getting some slack for loss vs Syracuse with their QB knocked out. Doesn't matter, they'll face off in the ACC-CG.

3rd quarter was perfect storm that blew the game open. I agree y'all whooped us in the trenches on both side but it's not like we are without talent there. Let's also be real about this past game, y'all were at home and Auburn was fighting for their lives and their seniors had never beaten GA. Meanwhile GA was on the road and seniors had never lost to Auburn. Our defense has been lights out all year and then they gave up 40. I think we would play with our hair on fire in the rematch and win.

I am not being cocky in saying I feel our talent was much better. Just saying.

I don't know what the CFP committee is trying to prove. They're using horrible judgement.

Miami is undefeated and should be #1 or #2 after their last two commanding wins.

How are Oklahoma and Clemson four and five spots better than Georgia? I realize their losses were more competitive, but they were also to much shittier teams than Auburn. ISU is 6–4, Syracuse is 4–6 and might not make a Bowl.

Auburn has two losses, but they're quality losses and they've also beaten two or three really good teams, so I understand having trouble placing them.

It'll all even out in the end, but they honestly just don't know what the hell they're doing.

I think you can make a case for Miami to be above Clemson. But, Clemson and OU have better resumes than Wisconsin, Auburn and Georgia.

These aren't the greatest. Honestly I wonder if they do these to stir up talk.

Should be

1. Alabama
2. Miami
3. Oklahoma
4. Wisconsin
5. Clemson
6. Auburn
7. Georgia

People are forgetting that, while they had a good win over Auburn and other teams, Clemson lost to Syracuse. That is a bad loss, no matter how you shake it. Wisconsin is being undervalued as an unbeaten. Their schedule hasn't been the greatest, but they did just blow out a ranked opponent. Oklahoma probably has the most quality wins out there, but the loss is why I would have them at three. Miami, undefeated with a huge win this past Saturday. And of course, Alabama.

Truth be told none of this means jack shite. This will all play itself out in the next three weeks.

Edit: added Georgia at seven. Didn't bother after that because those seven are the only teams who are in contention

Beat #6 Auburn
Beat # 18 NC St on the road
Night wins on the road against ranked (at the time) VaTech and Louisville
Most wins against top 50
most wins against teams with winning records
Strongest SOS
Vegas would favor Clemson over any team but Bama on neutral field

Right, put Wisconsin OU and Miami ahead of Clemson Moron.

OSU still has a shot if some stuff happens, but it wouldn't take some kind of miracle either. Michigan could beat Wisconsin in a really close game, or lose a heartbreaker. OSU beats the crap out of Michigan, and then beats Wisconsin pretty good in the title game. Auburn wins outs. Alabama and ACC loser gets bumped by OSU. The committee would take injuries into account, but Bama would have to hope they shun OSU because of Iowa blowout late in the season. But no way they don't pass the ACC loser there.

I still think Miami isn't very good, unless they've just turned a corner. Had an extra bye week due to the hurricane. Struggled with Syracuse and UNC, and needed late heroics to beat FSU and Tech. FSU is their only decent win on the road, if you can call it that, and they really should have lost. Their schedule blows, and doesn't finish any better. Can easily see why Clemson is ahead even with them not looking good lately.

Like others have said, I think people underestimate the badness of the loss to Syracuse. Syracuse is not a good team... at all.

I don't think you can argue Clemson has better wins than Oklahoma (and a "better" loss). They have beaten Ohio State on the road, Oklahoma State on the road, and TCU at home. Those are great wins.

Miami just stomped a top ten team. And they are undefeated. Why is that moronic to put them over Clemson?

Finally, Wisconsin. Yes, I was iffiest about them. That's why they are just above Clemson at four. They are undefeated, and are playing extremely well right now. They've blown out nearly everyone they've played and did the same to a ranked opponent last week.

C'mon man. I'm not the committee, this is just my opinion. I'm not saying Clemson is a bad team. These rankings are completely fluid. If Clemson beats Miami, they will no doubt shoot up. Just don't worry about it

I think they are ranked too high. They were totally exposed not only on Offense but Defense as well.
