I think with Georgia, it was overrating to make Notre Dame look good, but even still, everyone was losing to get Georgia at #2 in any other poll, so...

I still stand by no one stands out this year, not even the undefeated teams and that's going to really show in the end.

I don’t think UGa cares who they play. They are in a better spot than AU or Bama (assuming they get it together and beat UK and GT and stay healthy).

Au and UA have to play each other. It will likely be a brutal game right before SEC title. If UA barely loses to AU they will probably get in if AU beats UGa again.

All UGa has to do is win out and that loss means nothing.

If I were UGa I would just hope the iron leaves the winner bruised and battered.

Yep, doesnt really matter, if you're in the top 7. You're in control.

Final CFP ranking:

Acc champ
Big 12 champ
Big 10 champ
Sec champ

That’s what these rankings mean.

Exactly. GA fans would cheer for team meteor in the Iron Bowl.

It's tough to really get up for a game 3 times in a short period, but at the same time, Alabama's defense is banged up and can get even more banged up in the Iron Bowl.

It's a coin flip honestly.

This. I still don't think UGA beats either team right now though.

I'll take 11-2 and a trip to the Orange bowl to play Miami/Clemson or the peach to play UCF.

The defensive end is very much adjustable

Well sure...I mean, your DL was getting pushed around all game by our OL...WR's were handling their edge blocks well also...you could bring more guys into the box...but with a balanced team, it means you are more vulnerable to the pass...which the scouting report says is the last thing you want to do. UGA's strength is stopping the run...Achilles heal, defending the pass. Taking resources out of pass defense to defend the run isn't a recipe for success IMO.

I think UGA could have more luck on offense with quick passes and misdirection plays that hurt AU's over pursuit. I'm sure it will be closer if AU gets to Atlanta...but dang...it's hard to imagine that this kind of domination on both sides of the LOS can be fixed by then.

Having said that, I think UGA's 3 year outlook is the best in the conference...second only to maybe Bama

3rd quarter was perfect storm that blew the game open. I agree y'all whooped us in the trenches on both side but it's not like we are without talent there. Let's also be real about this past game, y'all were at home and Auburn was fighting for their lives and their seniors had never beaten GA. Meanwhile GA was on the road and seniors had never lost to Auburn. Our defense has been lights out all year and then they gave up 40. I think we would play with our hair on fire in the rematch and win.

When Georgia went conservative, which is what normally works vs a Malzahn offense, it would've worked okay if there wasn't back to back mistakes that are as bad as a turnover.

Then Georgia's coaches just went in panic mode and looked awful on defense. The game had three parts on the defensive end, overcompensating for Stidham as a passer, what I said above, and this. It was overthought, fixable, but not completely fixable due to defensive backfield issues.

Good point, I wouldn't count on it tho. I could see that factoring in more if Bama wins the iron bowl and its a brutal game, because they are already beat up. I wouldn't count on that if I were UGA tho. UGA might be just as beat up after playing GT. Ive heard from multiple football players that they were the most sore after playing teams like GT and Navy, because they run the triple option, and theres a lot of grindage, and ground and pound.

If you would have told me in August that UGA would be 9-1 + 7th in the CFP + controlling their own destiny, I would've bought that scenario in 2 seconds. I like where UGA stands even after the arse raping last weekend.

As far as who I'd like to see UGA play, that's easy: Auburn. I don't think either team replicates their performance from this past weekend. I think it will be closer to a 3 point game, either way.

I personally would like to see AU beat Bama in Iron bowl in a close one, beat UGa in Sec title and beat Bama for Natty after beating Clemson in semi final.

I would probably just hang up my fandom from then on. Gus would get two statues instead of 1. I would get a tattoo on my arse of the whole schedule. Dye all my clothes orange and blue and trade the mini van in for a %%-# bus.

No other season would matter..hell I would have to get the wife to pop out another kid for an excuse to go to another game.

Georgia sucks; wait until Kentucky gets done with them this weekend. They won’t be in the top 20
