We all know it's true.

It's OK, you can say it.

If you're not cheating, you're not trying.

This is true. We always knew it when we were in the Big12, but other than coming down on some lesser sacrificial lamb, the NCAA pretty much left the big boys in the SEC alone.

Wonder how many NCAA officials were driving Mercedes loaners from one of you know who's dealerships?

I don't think that necessarily proves anything about the past. I think NIL places better players on teams that would otherwise gone to the perennials. I think it makes for more parity in the league but unfortunately, it pits future NFL players against future NFL players and we beat each other to death. What NIL has done is it has eliminated the depth that the perennials had, hence, we go into playoffs beat to hell where the Miami's and Indiana's go in full strength because of their patsy schedules.

I’m sure the big tens line was paying players. Seems weird a conference is ok with child rape but wouldn’t dare pay players under the table.

It’s more like bad qb and bad coaching in the sec the last 3 years, plus an expanded playoffs isn’t best team it’s hottest and best path.

I agree. No way Big 10 schools were cheating. They´ll cover up rapes, but would never think to give $100 handshakes. All those good ole boys with oil money in the Big 12 would never think to tarnish the game like that either.

Great example of specious reasoning. It’s simplistic enough to suffice as a good explanation.
Truth is it’s more complicated than that. The recruiting “game” has been so thoroughly changed that many of the factors that gave the SEC an advantage have been eliminated.

The teams that were powerhouses before NIL are still powerhouses. All NIL has done is take away depth from those teams. None of those kids were going to Indiana or Texas Tech before NIL but now that they can get paid they do. Backup 4 and 5 star players want NIL money also so instead of waiting their turn they take the money and go in the portal.

Has more to do with unlimited transfers IMO. Kids don't stay in a system long enough to really learn it and coaches have a bunch of new players every year with little time to coach them. Hard to have experienced epth so when/if a key injury hits it's even worse.

The SEC is beating up on itself. What does that have to do with collapse?

When former players admit they were bought and that they had players that acted as bag men to deliver the money, I'd say they were bought...

Plus, Sabans record in the NFL where he couldn't buy a better team vs College is pretty damning. What do you think?

The NIL spread talent thin plus the portal. I think it’s more the combination of both, sec depth takes a hit and it shows more in the sec because the teams in it. The big 10 has like 6 vandy and arkys maybe more.

Bad coaching mostly caused by Saban causing turnover and the sec qb play has been really bad. Plus Michigan stealing signs helped the big 10 get three straight.

Michigan, Tosu, Oregon all were paying players along with Da U and others. That hasn’t changed but Texas Tech and Indiana have really benefitted from the NIL stuff. Indiana didn’t want to attract attention for low value football while they try to fix their basketball program

Why aren't they beating up on The Big10, and other conferences, in the playoffs?
