Pretentiousness? Buddy you have no idea what's coming in UT/OU. Sure there are a lot of Aggies with visions of grandeur that year over year get a little overzealous in their convictions. But most Aggies remember our history and are desperate to break thru that glass ceiling. Can you blame a school like A&M with its resources and fan support. We are long overdue. 1998 for anything meaningful was forever ago.
And yes modern A&M does have resource advantages likely over 80% of the conference. But that's also frustrating. It doesn't always equal success. And it just got harder with our horn brethren now back in the fold. In fact I'd wager only UT can easily outmuscle A&M... and every SEC school in resources.

I love that this shite is 6 pages long haha. My Aggies haven't won anything in the SEC and people are still worried about if we're gonna struggle. The difference is we have resources that we never had before when we left the big 12. This isn't TAMU 1995.

I'd say only Texas can out muscle A&M when it comes to resources currently. That may not equate to real success but in the era of NIL it will ensure we get the best players just like Texas and all the other blue bloods. In fact i sadly see the Mississippi schools and perhaps even OU take a step back. Texas will always be a powerful draw. OU I'm not so sure anymore. Also interestingly will be if our Cajun Bros will be able to keep up with NIL deals. Time will tell. I'm just glad we got a new coach.

I mean...we'll never know. But OSU and ND are likely to get throttled too. I'd rather have been given a chance to prove ourselves. Now we got Butter teeth to deal with. :cool:

Long time lurker here. I'm absolutely disappointed in the committee's decision to leave out A&M. I know a lot of Aggie fans are pissed and disappointed. But...it's what we got now and just have to go out and kick UNC in the teeth. Truth is...A&M has underachieved for a long time. We've been typically an 8-5 team with our last conference championship in 1998 and Natl. Title in 1939.
Coming to the SEC has been just badass. Games against ISU/KSU/OSU/TT/BAYLOR just absolutely do not compare against our current schedule in both visibility, atmosphere and tradition. Getting out of the shadow of Texas was huge. Forging a new identity is what we're trying to achieve. Will we ever get there. Who the frick knows. But we're gonna keep trying and thankfully it's in a stable conference where every game matters and with resources/exposure we never dreamed of achieving before! Thanks SEC...we've got a lot to prove and no one said it would be easy. Thankfully I fully believe we've got the right guy to finally take us there. Oh...and I LOVE our new/old rivalry with LSU. :dude:
