Guess which game drew more in 2022...Arkansas-Missouri or UCLA-Cal.
It does not matter because the B1G did not add Cal. So the point you made has no bearing on this issue.

I guess it isn't just your internet persona.

They did add UCLA, you dumb shite.

If you can't see the plain and simple fact that you added a program that has absolutely zero value as a brand...not regionally and especially not nationally...you know about as much about college football as my dead grandmother.

Just stop. You're only embarrassing yourself, and you're too fricking stupid to see it.

Missouri was the 16th most watched team in college football this year you dork. A shade behind Auburn who was 15.

So many views ! Yet the tv package is $4b less than big10 . I’m just like why are people saying dumb comments when the numbers don’t confirm them. We aren’t talking about who is the better conference blah blah blah, that’s up for debate. Just dumb Auburn fans thinking big10 will implode when the tv package is 2x SEC lol. I can’t deal with stupid. You can’t fix it.

You're mad because I made you look silly for comparing the ratings of 2 SEC schools to a school that is not and never will be in the B1G.

UCLA along with USC, Oregon, and Washington make great additions to the B1G and will also increase in ratings with more interesting matchups. The B1G will now have games in every time slot.

A. I don’t know what the TV package revenue has to do with any of this.

B. The OP said “20 years” I don’t know for sure, but I assume that contract isn’t a 20 year contract.

Nothing is forcing them to be national.

I would assume that they can play regionally in the other sports. There’s no law making them travel east to west all the time.

I've been on here for several years trying to explain to them that economics will decide everything and their response is always the same about how many titles they have won. I think it is finally starting to sink in that they signed up for a bad deal that will only put them further behind in the future.

It seems the entire league skipped some math classes judging by the way their leaders added 2 blue bloods and got no revenue increase from their TV deal.

Lol 1+1= war eagle football not 2 in the south. Thats what they are taught.

Used Car Lot Academy only draws in basketball. They are like the Atlanta Falcons of college football though, could be undefeated late in the season and barely draw half capacity.

Had they NOT spread so far so fast, things may have worked out.

Do I hear a stutter? Is the mighty SEC concerned? A national conference will be superior to a regional outfit.

This is the saddest part… outside the SEC could be considered “the leftovers”. We don’t want you. Go national. Go international. The regional powerhouse of the SEC will still destroy you.

If it were only football and maybe men's basketball it would probably be the way to go, but with all the peripheral sports it is going to drags some athletic depts down that are not at the very top of the football pyramid

Seriously. They're going to be sending ladies' track and field or softball from Miami to Washington with some regularity?

Good luck with that. Logistical nightmare.

The B1G is on the cusp of holding New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

All three are NFL markets to be sure, but they are also very lucrative when USCw, Miami, and ND are contenders.

Putting those three markets in your portfolio is pure gold come contract negotiation time.

I don't watch either sport nor do I know anyone who does. They can adapt or go away.

Thanks but it will be fine. The men and women who run the B1G are smart and will work it out.

Haha it’s true , they can’t stop posting about the TERPS it’s pretty funny. It’s one of the top 25 public schools in the USA. Just leave the nerds alone. We all need them.

They could but they did not have the foresight the B1G leaders have. Now that the B1G has all the brands that matter on the West Coast, no one else can do it. The B1G has that prize locked up. Pretty smart wasn't it?

Chess to checkers.
