I posted this another thread, but following the GOAT isn't easy. You better have a big ego or just be absolutely retarded.

And the fans are unstable at best and more likely than most to kill over football.

Bama may be one of the best jobs in the abstract, but following up Saban is not the best job to have in real life.

This shouldn’t be that hard to understand.

Nope, not at all. I pity the poor fool who tries to take it.

Well, if you don’t win, it can be the worst job in the country

Bama was never the best job.

Not even in top 5. Saban and Bear made Bama.

It’s not a destination. There are a lot of schools with more money and better facilities. Recruiting in Bama helps.

But let’s not act like it’s some “destination”

“Best job in the country”

Hahahahahaha! With that fan base? They’re all about to be in for a rude awakening over there when they realize the success was all about Saban and had almost zero to do with “Alabumma”

You're right, other than the Saban years our history is pretty pedestrian.

Meh, Curry and DuBose won SEC titles there. Shula won 10 games in a season. Those guys are terrible head coaches, yet were able to have some success. Gene Stallings sucked at A&M, yet was great at Alabama. It’s pretty much an idiot proof job.
