Alright, it’s time to sunset Tuscaloosa. He’s had a good run but it’s time for him to be on his way beyond the horizon.

It says color represents town. Are they saying UNO for Metairie? It looks navy blue

Many of those aren't towns.

Many aren't at the college they represent.

Most aren't colleges, but universities.

Hattiesburg is an okay town but Starkvegas and Oxford are overall better college towns.

State and Ole Miss are both the focal points of their respective towns. Hattiesburg has USM and William Carey but the city does not revolve around either of those schools.

Hattiesburg fricking sucks. I grew up there (graduated HS in 08). Only place I'd not want to live more in MS is Jackson.

Hattiesburg is much better than Oxford and Starkville. Tuscaloosa is much better than Auburn. And I prefer Raleigh to Chapel Hill.

Hattiesburg is a dump, Tuscaloosa is on the same level (minus the strip) . Clemson doesn't hold a candle to Greenville, and Williamsburg runs circles around Blacksburg.

Good place to stop if you’re coming through. Plenty of options off the interstate (chick-fil-a).

Based on what ? Not beauty or charm. Employment ? That is the worst list I have seen in an attempt to show this category.

Here is their criteria: Using data from United States Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, we analyzed overall population, student population, rental costs, college education rates, transportation access, unemployment rates, and bar availability. From there, we narrowed it down further by weighing cost of living, unemployment rates for 20–24 year olds, and easy access to the city.

That seems perfectly rational to me.

Starkville/Oxford better college towns for sure.

But the better city to live in is the Hattiesburg area.
It’s bigger with more options. Food/shopping and better located.

He’s only posting it to Troll because he’s not smart enough to do anything else.

So the college needs to be the focal point?

There's just much better Restaurants and things to do in Hattiesburg that you can do as opposed to Starkville or Oxford.

It's usually St. Augustine for Florida (Flagler College). I'd rather be at FIU or FAU though.

Hattiesburg is a great town, but it is not a better college town than Oxford or even Starkville.

I’m with you The Winner. When I was in MS I lived in Starkville, Hattiesburg & Jackson.

I would only move back to Hattiesburg. The location is better than Oxford & Starkville.

I miss Starkville for 7 Saturday’s in the Fall.
