For unexplainable reason I seem to be getting a mild erection looking at #9.

Pretty sure it was Huey Long who moved it.
Just one of the many changes of his in Louisiana during his time as governor.

Doesn't look big enough to be of use today, but the architecture is great.

I’m a huge fan of State Capitols and Courthouses.

St. Louis courthouse could easily pass as a Capitol.

Louisiana State Capitol is unique. It’s similar to Nebraska.

Well capitols attract lawyers, so they tend to become cesspools of greed and corruption. It is what it is.

agree 100%

Nashville is still a great city though, the fact that they merged the city with all of Davidson county has made a big impact

Columbia

Incorrect.

I just moved here in June, but have been pleasantly surprised.

Tons to do in and around the city from nightlife to recreation to family fun.

Plus, it's a couple of hours drive from any variety of cool spots from the mountains to the beach.

A group of my colleagues and our spouses got a chance to meet with Governor McMaster last month and received a private tour of the Capitol bldg. The grounds, history, decor and style of that bldg are second to none.

Very underrated city, imo.

As a whole, Nashville is the only SEC city that beats it out.

Yea, the Old Capital is pretty sweet. I will say the chambers in the Huey Long building are pretty nice. I can’t remember the actual story, but there is a pencil stuck in the ceiling to this day.

Also, per legend, the bullet holes from when Long was killed are still noticeable on the first floor hallway.
