No. 5 team in the country, with only loss to No. 1, yet our only player on these lists is a second-team OL.
Good coaches get things done without superstar prima donnas.
(Just think what he'll do once all these croots do start playing, though.)

Jacoby Stevens missing in action, too
This is actually a snub IMO. Him, Ali Gaye, and Jabril Cox all had really good seasons I would have thought 1 of the 3 would at least make 3rd team

Stevens is not a snub. Having an ok season on a terrible defense doesn't equate to a snub. Stevens had 63 tackles, 3 sacks, 0 INTs, 1 FF, and 4 PBUs in 10 games. That's probably not even good enough for all-conference recognition (it wasn't). For comparison, he had 92 tackles, 9 TFL, 5 sacks, 1 INT, and 6 PBUs last year when he was 2nd team All-SEC. Cox had a good season but didn't rack up numbers iin the box like you'd want a linebacker to. ALi Gaye was 2nd team All-SEC which seems about right.

yeah, I'm aware. Stevens really needs to move to linebacker. He has the build and has never had the pass coverage skills to be playing in the secondary. Early in the season, he was actually lining up as a LB the majority of his snaps. He won't be playing in the secondary at the next level, that's for sure. He's simply not fast enough nor does he have quick enough hips to be covering receivers.

It's almost like it's part of the deal.

Alabama has guys leave early every year, including 6 guys last year.
Tua (1st round)
Wills (1st round)
Ruggs (1st round)
Jeudy (1st round)
McKinney (2nd round)
Lewis (3rd round)
What part of "the deal" was that?
In the end every Bama senior on this AP all-American list made the right choice and will make significantly more on their first pro contract because of it.

it's actually a good point for any 3rd year player whose draft status isn't in the first or second round but is thinking about going pro

The fact a 3rd team all American might win the Heisman kind of ticks me off.

Also won the same CBS Award.

I just don't think any objective voter (or at least enough voters) could mark him down at the top of the ballot.

I can’t imagine him getting more than a small handful of regionally affiliated first place votes.
