Beat VT by less than USC
Won by a score against the worst Bama team of the last 15 years
Beat a shitty LSU team by a point on a call that has never been called before or since

Auburn 2004 GOAT

It is hilarious y'all have had 2 undefeated seasons in the last 25 years that didn't win a natty

Auburn didn't have the ability to make them lopsided because Auburn wasn't as good as you remember them.

Uh, Tubs sat on leads. I just gave an example, running the ball 27/28 times to run out the clock with a NFL 1st round senior QB and 4 NFL wide recievers and the running back with the best hands out of the backfield in college football on the field.

The ability was there. Junior Rosegreen and I talked about it a month ago. AUs 2004 defense was so dominant Tubs let Borges run the O until we were up about 20 (which we were up more than 2 TDs every game but 1), then handed off to run out the clock.

Again, I think you have zero clue.

2004 Auburn vs. Oklahoma comparison:

The stats here show the regular season. Also, only FBS programs are compiled. And if you play a team twice, then one game is taken away (Auburn played Tennessee twice so their record of 10-3 doesn’t equate to 20-6; just accounts for 10-3).

Therefore it’s a 10 game comparison, but will include OU’s last two games just to show the whole picture.

OKLAHOMA opponents W/L record through 10 games: (61-52) with a winning percentage of 53.9

Winning Record: 6 - Losing Record: 6

Opponents that finished ranked in the AP: 2; with an average final ranking of 11.5

All 12 games: (72-66) with a winning percentage of 52.1

AUBURN opponent W/L record in their 10 game schedule, not counting The Citadel or Tennessee a second time: (60-56) with a winning percentage of 51.7

Winning Record: 3 - Losing Record: 5 - .500: 2

Opponents that finished ranked in the AP: 3 with an average final ranking of 12

Advantage - OKLAHOMA

I've always thought the 2007 season should have just had vacated that season for a national champ. That may have been the weakest year ever for college football. I saw the national champs play in person and that was the worst national champion team I've ever seen. There was absolutely zero about that team that said dominant team. They don't finish in the top 10 if the rest of college football is it's normal self.
That may be the last time we ever see a 2 loss team win it all.

If you didn't already know that it was a Bama fan that posted this, you would still be able to deduce as much.

Alabama was “chosen” last year after losing by double digits to Auburn.

Alabama was “chosen” in 2011 after losing to LSU on its home field.

everyone knows they are one of the best 4 teams every year. There's honestly no reason they should have to win every game.

We hear the same thing from A&M after the first game (except last year ). By game 6 reality usually sets in.
