This is weird, LSU won 2 championships in 5 years, which is 2 more than I ever thought would come having followed the team since the 80s, and someone thinks they can rile us up about that? OK. Carry on thinking about us, I guess.

2003 resonates well here in Norman. LSU was the better team, but OU had their chances to win. Fell short in the end.

2003 LSU is credited with the start of the current era of SEC Dominance.

2007 LSU started preseason #1, and after all the chaos that happened in the season across the board, it’s only fitting that LSU was selected to play in the NC game.

The BCS title game was almost set between Missouri and West Virginia. Both lost setting up 1 loss Ohio State getting in.

2 loss Mizzou and West Virginia just lost so they are out.

2 loss Virginia Tech is an option but lost by 41 early in the year to LSU.

1 loss Kansas lost to previous 1 loss Missouri prior to conference championship week. But KU’s weak schedule hindered them.

2 loss Oklahoma probably deserved a mention considering they handed Missouri their only 2 losses.

In the end, LSU was a legit choice and they proved it.

Some might dismiss 2007 LSU because tney are the only 2 loss national champion in major college football history. (1960 Minnesota was named national champion prior to second loss in Bowl)

It's crazy how often LSU needs the refs to bear Auburn for them. Sort of like this year and the 3 uncalled blocks in the back on the punt return

2003 USC > 2003 LSU.

2003 USC also > 2004 USC.

2003 USC beat the majority of its opponents worse than 2004 USC did and had less close games than 2004 USC.

Totally irrelevant. Not only did You get a mnc shot with a loss to a 5 loss team, you didn’t even have to face the #1 team. It was a double dose of luck.

Where's the "crying pussy" emoji? Seems to be pretty constant with UGA fans. You bitches just can't figure out how poor assed pitiful LSU got to Nats during that period of time and UGA didn't win shite. You smack talkers crack my arse up.

The 2003 national championship team was very solid, but the media seems to forget about it unless they are talking about Nick Saban in the same breath as Bear Bryant. Most pundits seem to really love talking about that '03 Trojans squad more than the '03 Tigers.
Without falling into the "feeding the troll" category,

LSU did what it was supposed to do in those seasons.

In 2003, people bitch that LSU 'screwed' USC out of their shot, but go back and look at what happened.

Oklahoma #1, playing Kansas State #15 in the Big 12 championship.

USC #2, season over, no championship.

LSU #3, playing Georgia #7 in the SEC Championship.

LSU beat UGA convincingly, getting the slight push to pass USC.

Oklahoma got their doors blown off by K State, and ... stayed #1.
That's the problem, not LSU getting in. LSU deserved its berth (and proved it by winning). They should have played USC, not Oklahoma.

2007 national championship team, most members in the media tend to talk about the season itself as no one team really emerged as a dominant force. LSU and Ohio State were chosen to play in the title game simply because they were the last men standing in the aftermath of the carnage
Truth. LSU made it through with the least wounds.

Ohio State had the better record and higher ranking, but Florida's blasting the previous year had opened the nation's eyes regarding SEC vs Big 10. Remember, Fla was an afterthought in 2006, Ohio St was coming off the Game of the Century vs Michigan.
Turned out, OSU-Michigan wasn't for the national title afterall, despite the media's preaching.
*kinda funny that they did the same exact thing with LSU-Alabama in 2011, and this time forced the rematch*
