Our season wasn’t ruined. It was a letdown from our high hopes (mine included) at the end, but what were expectations before the season began? The team exceeded mine. I’m pleased and optimistic.

Jimbo lost to Ed O while he was eating chicken nuggets on the sideline last year; it happens.

This is not a consolation post, but for what it’s worth; I’d much rather lose to LSU but play for the conference championship, then be in our current position.

I don’t think anyone got our coached. I honestly believe many of our key players just peaked very late in the season, especially on offensive line, that extra 0.5-1 second of protection, combined with receivers being healthy and playing to their potential is what happened.

Let’s not kid ourselves, Connor had to elude pressure, and the receivers were under TIGHT coverage most the night. They just won the 1 on 1’s.

I read so much trash talk about “achane? Never heard of her” and “just about every team in the conference has a better running back”. On this end I just have to flat out disagree. When the line has any semblance of a pulse, he’s a factor. He was downplayed (maybe fairly) in the week leading up to the game and those who were doubting how good a player he is, were just clearly proven wrong.

No it didn't. Don't be such a drama queen. It's really sad that you come over to this message board and let everyone know that you are a cry baby. Leave that crap on the rant

You shouldn't worry to much.

But I also went to the 2001 LSU vs Tenn SEC Championship game....So I know anything is possible.

Funny how your team disappeared last Saturday when it mattered most.

Look, I get you and your aggie brothers celebrating. Most of y’all are damn annoying on here, but not many stayed throughout the disastrous season. I respect those that did, and they can crow for a year now.

Your disappearing act was on par with Houdini. You were a rare sight on Monday mornings. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it.

LSU has one of the best defenses in college football and has suffocated much better quarterbacks and running backs

One of the things I saw in LSU's Arkansas game was that our defense did well to limit Yards After Contact. Whether it be the D-line, LBs or DBs, LSU was making solid tackles.

Didn't see that against A&M. Lots of guys leaving their feet, diving for ball carriers and sliding down.

Achane was probably a big reason for this, but LSU's tackling overall wasn't the same as in previous games.

Ruined our season

Saturday has come and gone. Let reality set in now. An upset of Georgia was a long shot, maybe longer then than it is now.

I’m bummed because it knocks us down in the bowl pecking order. I know bowls are “exhibitions”, but I’m a fan and I can feel let down in that regard.

One poster stated this above, and I’m sure he’s not alone in being willing to switch this result with a spot in Atlanta. If this loss prevented LSU from winning the West, then it’s a different conversation.

A&M played up and down all year long. No blowout losses, and quite a few games that it looked like the team was completely disinterested, especially after getting behind. That is on Fisher, and the symptom of a young team

On the other hand, when they wanted to (Bama and LSU), they looked like a completely different team. A&M had the talent, and the losses (and wins) are on Fisher and his inability to maintain control. At least he may finally give up on being an OC

Also not playing Weigman all year was monumentally stupid. A&M had the talent, and had to put it all together. Looks like the team really wanted this one.

You’ve been correct all season and again now. This thread has been spot on from all angles until just recently when the normal poo flingers stepped in. Typical

Colorado do you ever peek at the Texas A&M section on this site?

Good for him , doesn’t change the fact that you still have never seen Atlanta and LSU was going to be there Saturday. Great year Aggies lol.
