Sincerely, much appreciated.

SC is indebted to you - within reason.

Not only did you fire mUSChamp, who endears himself more and more to us daily, but you've contributed to us keeping our current staff in place and even bolstering it to some degree ... which bolsters recruiting.

mUSChamp took less money on this latest six year deal he signed. He still got a healthy bump of about $20k a week to add to what we were already paying him ... but thanks to the $1.4 million he is still yet to receive from Florida, still getting the monthly payments of almost $100k from you Gators ... he wanted the bulk of the hefty new budget distributed to his assistants.

So we kept BMac and Lance Romance from going to UT.

Kept T-Rob in place bumping him to $1.2 million a year.

Hired Dan Werner, The QB Whisperer - maybe our biggest hire of the off-season. Very few will argue that he is not going to develop our stable of QBs ... plus he'll mentor BMac.

Promoted a solid guy, a hot up-and-comer, from within as our 10th assistant. Kyle Krantz will own eastern NC recruiting before all is said and done ... and they are loaded for bear with talent for the foreseeable future up there in NC from Charlotte to the coast.

Still had enough leftover to give all the other coaches a healthy raise - especially Eric Wolford our OLine coach who, along with BMac, should help us close Dylan Wonnum (Auburn lost their OLine coach).

Kept everything within budget.

Win win for both programs and we greatly appreciate your contribution to our cause.

If we close with Mincey, Wonnum and Sandidge we owe, at least in part, a great deal of thanks to you Gators. We wouldn't be this pumped and in this position without you. mUSChamp is a man on a mission, a tireless worker and recruiter who learned from his mistakes ... perfect for us.

And the $1.4 million! It went a lonnnng ways toward helping our cause. You shouldn't have but we're glad you did. Whatta bunch of guys, we appreciate it fellas. Boom!

Thanks again Gators,

I want to thank Florida for taking Stricklin and Mullens off our backs. Without them we wouldn't get the GOAT of ADs John Cohen with Cann as Baseball Coach! And now we got rid of the laziest HC in the SEC too??? Florida is doing wonders for MSU Athletics.

Wrong. The laziest HC in the SEC was Mac. Mullen probably didn't try because you guys were happy with 8 wins and he couldn't really compete for elite talent.

He was a lazy recruiter but I think he worked hard to develop underrated talent.

Guys like Dak and Fitz weren't huge recruits with a bunch of offers. That was Mullens bright spot. He could spot and develop raw talent that bigger schools overlooked.

Moorhead is targeting more high profile guys. Hopefully he can land enough and develop them to keep our success going.

Mullens was satisfied with 8 wins bc he knew he could trick poor old MOO U into giving him 6 million for doing nothing. He went 0-9 against Alabama and could not even win his divison. Yet Florida hires the coach who averages a 5th place Western Division Finish. Have Fun!

He was too busy running the Boston Marathon to give a crap about recruiting or game planning. He even took 2 month vacations.

We have a guy that is actually going to try to win. And I can say that for the first time in years and I am so excited for Spring Ball for the first time. Thanks Florida! Hail State

This speaks to the disparity between the East and West the last few years.

I didn't mind the marathon. He got good publicity out of it. That was probably the best recruiting effort he put forward during his whole time with us, whether it was intentional or not.

You guys will probably have the opportunity to pick up Mullen as OC in 2-3 years, so the gifts may still be coming your way.

We will see another thank you Florida Gators thread in 5 years from Vandy/Kentucky fans thanking Florida for Mullen. Their delusional fans will toss him just like champ..

Mullen is a very good coach and our frickin fans are excited for next year because of what he built. As for recruiting honestly where does state fans think we should rank in the sec?? We will always have to bring in some juco talent to compete with the big boys and we do a damn good job of it. He recruits well at qb and that is the key to success.

Too bad LSU was too lazy to recruit Dak or k Thompson both LA natives who might very well go down as 2 of the best QBs state ever had (know Thompson is still a bit unproven but if bama can claim tua after one game is hotshite why not us?)

Muschamp is a great fit for South Carolina. It's all about expectations. South Carolina wins 8-9 games a year and they throw the man a parade. McElwain does the same and wins the East his first two seasons and he gets unceremoniously fired for failing to meet expectations in year 3.

It's a vicious profession.

It reminds me of the scene in Fletch when Stanwyck, his wife, The Police Chief, and Fletch are all in the same room in a standoff.

Chief to Stanwick - "I couldn't help but overhear something about lounging on the beach in Rio, while my butt lands on the front page.."

Fletch "... with your money"

Gunshots ensue, Stanwick dies.

Chief turns gun on Fletch. He throws lighter in fireplace, gas explodes, Stanick's wife hits chief in head with fireplace poker.

Fletch makes off to Rio with Stanwick's wife, his plane tickets, the Chief's money, and the Underhill's American Express card.

Shoot, people gave up on him even though he lost 12 players before the season even started and lost two games by a total of three points with 20 out on the year.

Muschamp gets the frick beaten out of him by Kentucky at home and we get a ''Thank you Florida Gators'' thread.
