The prices are bordering on completely ridiculous,
When you have to pay Jimbo $75 million to go away, you raise ticket prices.
Plus the Taylor Swift half time show isn’t cheap .

Even during the SWC and Big12 days, regardless of team records, this was ALWAYS a big game and I don't recall a time in my football watching days it was not sold out.
Oh, I have no doubt it will sell out. I just meant that the tickets for the first meeting in the renewal will probably be the most expensive for a while, unless A&M is highly ranked.
Imagine if Aggie were a top ten team THIS year.

Yeah know....that would make that game a true barn burner and easily the most watched game of the week.
I recall back in the 80's small town Texas, one of the first questions you're asked in middle school was if you were a Longhorn or Aggie....answer carefully depending on the audience...lol

This will be a Top 5 must-see game of the season next year regardless of what the teams records will be at the time.

I e already been shopping for tickets…prices are just unbelievable.

They will be hilariously expensive. First time the teams have played in a decade in what used to be a heated rivalry

Yeah, imma pass on this one. If aggy were honorable people the game would be in DKR, but I do like the thought of returning to the scene of our eternal scoreboard win in 2011. Justin Tucker still going strong in the NFL btw.

I’m sure it’s just that the last game was played at Kyle Field so technically if this is resuming the regular series the game should be played in Austin.
When Bjork got blindsided by the longhorns and sooners coming into the conference he tried to save face by insisting that at least the first game will be played at Kyle on “our terms” or whatever. That was his small “victory”.

If Texas were “honorable “ they wouldn’t have destroyed two conferences with arrogance and self entitlement

If A&M loses to ND and UF in their first 3 games, and Texas beats UGA at home, aggies will be trading tickets for hamburger meat.

Funny that you say this..
The Big 12 isn't destroyed, but if it is destroyed some day, couldn't you also point the finger at Texas A&M? After all, they did leave first. Maybe Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M would still be in the Big 12 if A&M hadn't left. Food for thought.
Texas gets all the blame, but Texas A&M is at least partially responsible for the destruction of the SWC and potential destruction of the Big 12.
On that topic, Missouri had a role as well. If they wouldn't have gone looking for a B1G invite before Nebraska, perhaps the entire Big 12 is still all together. The original Big 12 was a pretty damn good conference. It isn't a behemoth like the 16 team SEC or 18 team B1G, but it was a damn good 12 team conference.

If tsip loses to Michigan, Chokelahoma and Georgia, they probably won't even show up to the game in CS.

IMO, the game in 2024 will be a big deal for both teams even if both are 0-11 going into the game. There has been so much shite talked in the last 12 years.. one of the teams is about to eat a lot of shite.
Records won't matter in this one.
eta: The Super Bowl makes these prices look cheap.

I bought 8 UT/UGA tickets in the upper deck of one end zone (the opposite end from the good beer garden LOL) for $315 each. 4 of us from Georgia, 1 from North Alabama (Tide Fan) and 1 from Central Florida (Gator Fan) and their 2 daughters one who is a UTSA grad and the other a Texas Tech grad. They have all promised me they would pull for UGA but I suspect the stinking Gator ain't got it in him to do.
They live about 45 miles or 8 hours south of Austin (if you know you know) so we plan on spending a week drinking and dancing in the Hill Country, maybe the best place on the planet for drinking and dancing. Looking forward to it. We will probably drive because airfare right now is outrageous. We are staying with them but rooms are also scarcer than hen's teeth....
I don't recall ever paying more for a regular season ticket but I have UGA season tickets so I can usually get away game tickets from someone in our circle. May get some better seats for the UT game but I doubt they'll be any cheaper. I sold our ND tickets for WAAAAAAYYYYYY more than $315 a few years ago. Same general seats except we are on about the 15 yard line on the home side.

It will come down a little but starting from a high number for sure. $716 a ticket not including fees for 300 section lol. Football generally better to watch on tv or at the bar anyway.
If there was a place to do it in Austin we would drive the RV and tailgate and skip going to the game but spots are impossible to come by for visiting fans. Not a great tailgating scene in Austin in my experience. More like a NFL game, show up and leave. We plan to post up at the beer garden (have never had any trouble in the past but never been to a big game in Austin).

Not even going to attempt to get tickets. This will be the biggest event in the history of Texas A&M's campus (at least since 2011), and I'm sure the prices will reflect that.
