Fair points, but like Rod Babers said last night on OTF. Being 6 games into this season and only allowing 3 Touchdowns (all of which have been in garbage time) is very impressive. Doesn't matter who you're playing, that's an elite defense.
I will preface by saying I think the Texas defense is very good, possibly elite.
Take a look at some of the Top P5 Defenses this year:
Texas
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Iowa St
Ohio State
Penn State
Kentucky
I would think some of these would have just as easily dominated the teams Texas has dominated. This is not taking away from what Texas has done, .5 TDs a game is wild.
Ole Miss also only gave up 3 TDs through 6 games:
0 TDs in their first 3 games (Furman, MTSU, Wake Forest)
1 TDs through 4 games (GSU)
3 TDs through 5 games (2 UK / 1 GSU)
3 TDs through 6 Games (0 for USCe)
6 TDs through 7 Games (3 LSU / 2 UK / 1 GSU)

If Good Beck shows up.. Georgia scores at least 20-25 and maybe 30+
Who are you trying to convince? We know our opposition has been some pretty bad offenses.. We also believe our D is pretty good, but until we are tested, we won't know for sure.

I think Texas is winning but they aren't holding UGA to 14 points IMO. Unless first half of the Bama game... Carson Beck shows up.

Nobody, just having one of those very rare good quality conversations on the SECR!

line is UT favored by 3.5
I'll take GA plus the points. They've lost one regular season game in the last what 40? I don't think it will be 2 in the same year. Too much talent at every position.
Also, Texas hasnt played anyone and will be shocked when they are down by 14 at home, it will be a gut check for sure. I think they will come back, they have a great team, but lose a close one
Georgia - 31
Texas - 24

I don't know who will win, but I do believe Texas will torch Georgia through the air.

UGA's pass defense has been hot and cold this year. Both Bama and MSU had a number of big chunk plays for big gains against the UGA secondary. But then you have a team like Clemson who's top 25 in passing offense on the season (ahead of both MSU and Bama statistically) who UGA completely shut down.
My initial thought was that UGA was lacking a shut down corner to take away the top WR for a team who relied more on one elite guy (like Ryan Williams). Now I'm wondering if it's just a general secondary issue after MSU where the secondary is jumping short routes and thus leaving deep routes open or missing tackles and allowing big runs after the catch. Regardless, the potential to shut down passing offenses is there, but isn't consistent.

I don't think we'll win, but you do realize that we will be the best offense Texas has faced all year right? The prior best offense is.....mississippi state, believe it or not.
Yeah I'm curious to see how we fare against a very legit offense. On paper it looks good but there are matchup issues (y'all have that huge receiver; forget his name but remember him from Bama game).
OU has a very solid defense and our offense couldn't have been more out of sync and we still scored 34 points. So that bodes well for us.
I still can't get over Georgia's comeback vs. Bama though. Hope our guys keep their feet on the gas.

This is actually a good point, I read the other day that Texas hasn't been behind yet in a game. So another area where haven't been tested.
I do know that Sark does a good job of keeping them focused. And Ewers should be more in sync.

If you mean Colbie Young, we don't have him anymore. He's suspended (likely for the season).
UGA's offense thankfully doesn't really revolve around a single player. We spread the ball out a lot. Here's our current leading receivers.
Arian Smith (412 yards) - 6 foot. Speedster type.
Dominic Lovett (302 yards) - 5-10. Possession type.
Dillon Bell (298) - 6-1. Swiss Army Knife (played RB for us some last year)
Colbie Young (149) - 6-3. Big body WR. Suspended.
Lawson Luckie (144) - TE - 6-4. Pass catching TE.
London Humphreys - (128) - 6-2. Generic but solid WR.
Anthony Evans (80) - 5-11. Generic but solid WR. Stats are ticking up since Young was suspended as he had 40 yards through the air and a 50 yard reverse against MSU.
We also have Oscar Delp at TE who's been a bit invisible in the passing game. (53 yards). Kind of expected more from him this year but it hasn't happened yet.

It’s gonna be close. It’s gonna be a 31-27 type game. It depends on which Quinn we get

This game will not be close. Take my word as a Georgia fan Texas will win this game by three scores. My prediction is Texas 48 Geogia 28.

Clemson’s QB is the only pure drop back QB we’ve played… that is until this Saturday.

This is THE year for UTx win the natty imo
A game GA can win and feel like what was the big deal
However, we have a “team” issue and injury issue that is tough to overcome for anyone
At home in Austin at night in would expect GA to lose by a little

I know there is a possibility Georgia can win, but I respect how honest most of the UGA fans are being on their team this season. This year they are definitely not on the same level as years prior, but we'll find out Saturday.
