Yeah Texas has been mediocre for a while now. But it’s really hypocritical of Ga fans to to talk about it when they are 1-4 vs the Whorns. Including a Sugar bowl arse whipping in 2019.

Their "brand" is so powerful that their network became a raging success right?

It is a good thing Baja Oklahoma's brand transcends the SEC brand...all of the schools in the conference do. Vandy is known as a fine institution of higher learning that happens to be an SEC member, not the other way around.

The context is "brand". They are the premier brand in the '24 SEC and arguably the entire country if not today then certainly in the future

Texas isn't even close to LSU in this regard right now. The only coverage I've seen for Texas is on Messageboard Geniuses

Winning by a TD ain’t an arse-whipping.

And it’s not hypocritical to say Texas is mediocre when it’s the truth & you readily admit it. In the what-have-you-done-lately category, GA’s gone b2b, while y’all can’t even beat Texas Tech.

Texas is a blue blood on paper. Y’all haven’t done shite in a long time. One 10 win season in 13 years, for a “blue blood”, is trash.

You act like we're not already the most hated fanbase in any league we've ever played in. We're used to it by now

Alabama has more national titles in the last 14 years than Texas has in its history.

“Dominant brand”

The last TD was in garbage time with 14 seconds left. Texas whipped Georgia all during the game.

I’ve been saying it for years but UT fans are almost as bad as Aggie. Yes Aggie is little brother but these frickers are twins born minutes apart. Been almost twenty years since they’ve won shite. The conference they “transcend” has 13 titles by five different schools since the last time those frickers lifted a trophy. Get the frick out of here with that nonsense.

It's the Texan mindset as a whole. "Everything is bigger and better in Texas". Aggies flooded this board when they joined with the same schtick about how they were going to take over the SEC. Most of them have learned their lesson. Here we are 11 years later and they haven't won shite.

How many pages in before you hillbillies & trailer park sheep realize the topic is "brand" & brand is not mutually exclusive to current success and will never be a top metric.

Go look up largest Nike apparel deals by school, WSJ program value assessments etc. It's about monetization when it comes to brand.. alumni, tv sets, revenue.

Ohio State, Michigan, ND & Texas. They dominate this brand topic and it doesn't make a bit of difference if they win NC's or not or even compete for that matter as Michigan, Texas & ND have painfully proven.

I get what you are saying. And I did from the OP, on.

It is true and you are right.

(shifting gears) I tend to look at the big picture. These SEC fans already hate you just like we do. But that is a GOOD thing. It is good for the fan experience. You guys are the Goliath with deep pockets and a cool stride. Everyone wants a shot at you.

This makes for GREAT FOOTBALL.

They don't like us either, which is just icing on the cake.

There won't be a more interesting college football season than 2024. And beyond!

Damn, I already knew this board was obsessed with Texas given how many longhorn alters and fans of other teams are starting threads about Texas. Now you're scouring our boards, too?

I never knew our school would live this rent free before we even joined

Agreed completely. And these dolts are still the same people that think "horns down" upsets us when in fact the fans love it since we see it only strengthens the brand

Viewership certainly doesn’t support this specious brand argument for UTx.

Look, I hate those ****s with the heat of a thousand suns. But their merchandise sells, and sells, and sells. There are a ton of idiots who wear that godawful color.

And it isn't only in Texas.
