Obviously a more representative color of Texas would be maroon. I mean... no other school in the country is headlined by maroon and white!

Oh wait... well, at least no other school has maroon in the SEC.

Oh wait... well, at least a&m is the only team that's the aggies!

Oh wait...

Hi, XWing. I wore that color all through high school, since I went to school in Austin. It's putrid.

Viewership certainly doesn’t support this specious brand argument for UTx.

oh neat, another aggie accusing me of being the Star Wars guy for no reason

At this point, it’s just flattering. Y’all apparently let that guy own an inordinate amount of space in your heads, so I guess each mention of them when you reply just means I’m triggering you to no end, too

Adding Texas and Oklahoma was a great move. It adds to the drama and competition that is the SEC.

The last TD was in garbage time with 14 seconds left. Texas whipped Georgia all during the game.

Texas looked like arse during GA’s last drive. Targeting with ejection, personal foul & on the play that GA scored, the Texas D had no idea what was going on — even the announcers commented that Texas wasn’t lined-up.

After GA’s score, Longhorn fans quiet with their arms crossed. The Texas sideline — the players with concerned looks. They weren’t cheering. They weren’t celebrating.

It wasn’t garbage time you dumb f**k. Texas failed to stop GA from scoring & subsequently going for an onsides kick.

That stadium was quiet.

Texas recovered the onsides with a sigh of relief. Get your head outta ur arse.

Nice reply for a simpleton.

Now take those numbers and run a value analysis by demographics (age, sex, consumer habits, household income), the net/net top 10 takes on a whole new look and the only look that matters.

I'll dumb it down for you. Look at a year by year ranking of Athletic Department revenue by all FBS programs. Not net, AD's are run as non profits with the end goal of breaking even. Gross revenue is the result of an entity's brand that has developed by why of every impact metric that is applicable.

Texas is the consistent giant of the giants for the last 2+ decades in generating revenue and the future forecast is they will pull away from the other names in their class from the north/midwestern base markets (tOSU, MI & ND) eventually.

Nike isn't paying Texas twice as much as most every other school for any other reason than ROI.

So, numerous sources show Tx is relatively mediocre in many measures of viewership for last season.
Thanks for admitting that.

generating revenue

That’d be awesome if you could somehow turn that money into actually winning shite.
Sounds like another Texas big money program with little achievement to show for it.

Or, All hat and no cattle, as the saying goes.

What the hell is a "trailer park sheep"?

I can tell from the way that you've interacted with people on here that you're just a gimmick poster trying to "make a name for yourself", but shite like this just totally solidifies the prevailing thought that a lot of us have that we should have stopped expansion after Arkansas.

So one poster speaks for the entire fanbase? Got it. If you look hard enough you can find douchebags in every fan base hell just look at this board. Most of us are happy to be here and have a lot of respect for the sec's commitment to winning

It permeates the Texas fan base. There is a reason most people can’t stand Texas fans and Texas football in general and it’s not because you win anything. I know every Texas fan isn’t a prick. I know plenty that are cool but Texas has done plenty to earn this stereotype. Unfortunately it has mostly been earned because of the administration and boosters. Longhorn network debacle, whining about horns down, “Texas is back!”, not winning Jack shite, austin being a liberal gaping wound, shooting cannons through jersies and then taking a big L in front of the whole country, and so on and so on. We all have fanbases with warts but Texas is viewed as a soft program with fans that are delusional.

Note- I did not mean this to be a gotcha post. I think that is a sincere national or perception of people that have been watching college football for more than 10 years. Winning changes tgat but that has been the perception for quite a while.
