HOWEVER… for a pro style passer to succeed in college today, you need every element of a pro style system, coach, playbook, protection, receivers, and supporting team. Lots of schools do not have that. To commit to a pro style offense means you tailor your recruiting, who your offensive coaches are, and your playbook.
Sarkisian could put that package together. Look what he did with Mac Jones. Saban obviously has the knowledge and a pipeline of receivers as well as a lot of ex-pro asst coaches. . With Kiffin being a sanity suspect, the list gets shaky and iffy after that. Only other SEC program that might fit the profile is FL… but Mullen’s style QB isn’t Arch prototype.
I think it comes down to AL and TX and the totality of team will be looked at carefully.
