I don't have to have my wife go with me, I can fend for myself just fine, she wants to go and spent about 25 years in the medical profession, speaks the lingo, and knows the right questions to ask if I don't ask them, also knows more about the billing and insurance end then any of the current generation

My wife is the same way. She’s a pro with meds and insurance. She’s also a decent driver when my knees have been pumped full of Euflexxa and are stiffer than normal.

I have a mid-60's Belgian made Sweet 16 inherited from my dad.

I inherited a mid-60s Belgian Sweet 16 from my uncle. Lots of rabbits and squirrels were taken with it before it was passed down. It and ‘my first gun’, a Remington 1100 20ga Christmas present from my dad, are my favorite guns.

I gifted the 20ga to my son when he passed his hunter safety course. He’ll get the Sweet 16 when I pass.

We are about 2 months in on a Tempurpedic LuxeBreeze Hybrid medium. We bought an adjustable frame to go with it. We also added some Tempurpedic pillows.

It took me about a week to get used to it. My wife and I both think it’s one of the best purchases we’ve made in the last few years. I’m no longer waking up with lower back pain.

Can second Anna Maria. Go most years and will be there for 2 weeks in June-July.
Have had Directv satellite for 30 years. Switched to Directv streaming yesterday. The satellite service remains active for 14 days while I test out the streaming version. If I don’t like my new service, I can stop the migration process and go back to satellite.

So far, one thing I like about streaming is that you can reference live channels by their satellite number. SEC Network is 611 for streaming and satellite.
A great tribute to your father. Lost my dad in 2006. Miss him every day. Best man I’ve ever known.
A+
I was lucky to have a very kind man as my father. He was very tough at times but never mean. He would help others before he would think of helping himself. I’ve been able to pass his lessons on to my son. My father fought so hard to live another couple of years so that my newborn boy would remember him. My now 22 year old will tell us things today that he remembers about his paw paw. He was 3 when my dad died.

My only regret regarding my father is that his COPD rendered him unable to speak in his last few days. Because of this, I could never understand his final words to me that he was urgently trying to say. All I could do is tell him not to worry and that I could take care of whatever came our way. This still haunts me today.

I am still blessed to have had such wonderful parents and aunts and uncles.

77 Inch Class LG OLED evo AI C5 4K Smart TV 2025

I bought the same TV a few months ago. It has a great picture and really excels at night. The glare during the day is very noticeable when you are thinking about it. If I just flop down and start watching something, it’s fine but if I notice the glare I have a hard time not concentrating on it. I have a large window directly behind the main viewing area and a small window 90 degrees to the right of that one.

I did a side by side comparison between it and the G5 at Best Buy. My older eyes could not tell a difference in image quality.

It is fairly heavy. My son and I were able to put it up easily though.

I'd say most of the mixed reviews come from them

Hell, they cut my road bore Spectrum line when they came through. Glad to hear you’re getting good service though. No one around here seems to know anything about them. I have not heard anything from them even though I’ve had a fairly large junction box on the road in front of my house for 2 or 3 months.
Most in fridge. 1 stick out in a butter dish. Kerrygold in a butter bell.

It’s fiber optic cable.

My Spectrum fiber has been great so far. However, it’s power pole mounted. With Swyft burying everything, I think they’ll be able to swoop in after a hurricane and pick up a lot of customers.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I am in a build out area now. They’ve buried conduit and run cable.

We currently have Spectrum.
Very nice. Always enjoy your model threads.

re: Eating Vienna Sausages…

I’ve eaten them rinsed in the pristine waters of the Tangipahoa River.

Long closed local bar used to cut up Vienna sausage and put it on a Tony’s frozen pizza. It was called a pony peter pizza on the menu. Had plenty of those back in the day.
Take all the leftovers and line them up on the counter. Let everyone choose what they want and roll it up in egg roll wrappers. Fry them up and serve with gravy for the dipping sauce.

My personal favorite: rotisserie turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, and a small bowl of gravy
