Pretty sure this would not fly with the SEC. Surprised the NCAA hasn't cracked down hard on them about this issue, especially with the emphasis and occasional over reaction to player safety. Not to mention that according to Coach O's conversations with Tech, Texas is well aware of the issue and took no steps to correct it. I can't see where this would be acceptable at all, it wouldn't be the first time a player or staff member has been hospitalized or even died from the heat.

LSU actually has proof of potential mistreatment, and I'll admit having been there, I did not condone the booing of injured players. Even if it was fake (I never thought it was), that's something you don't assume just to give yourself an excuse to boo.
The only warnings you have given are out of a place of jealousy and abuse because your school could never beat ours in anything that mattered, especially when it mattered.

Yep, coach O just stated so in presser. Was prepared with blowers as La Tech gave them the heads up. However, blowing hot air doesn’t really help much. Texas should be ashamed of itself. They knew there was a problem but obviously did not feel a need to fix it. It’s a player safety issue really, hot 100+ degree weather in a small cramped room is a recipe for problems.

Happy you enjoyed your tailgate experience! BUT you are not a player in the locker room with no air conditioner or a band member sitting in the uppermost corner of the stadium in the hot sun when most of the stadium already had shade.

There were somewhat similar reports from USC fans last year. USC didn't have 3,000 fans there, but heard that their fans threw some things at Trojans players. 'SC brought a 100-pc pep band, but I'm not sure where their seats were assigned.
I saw this on TV a couple years back...I think it was Texas Tech's full band was put in the upper deck by Texas. I've never heard of treating your opponents like that before, but I saw that on TV myself, so I believe what you're saying about LSU's band being put up there. Crazy.

It’s pathetic that they don’t have temporary cooling in the space. There are plenty of companies who rent spot coolers and temporary chillers and AHUs for this kind of thing. It is standard practice to have the installing contractor provide this for a space that’s in use during a renovation. This was intentional, whatever the motivations behind it.

I had a great experience overall. At one point our tailgate was a 50/50 split between LSU and Texas. I was at the things y’all were saying about A&M. Every bit of which is true.
I don’t care so much about the behavior of some of your fans inside the stadium as it’s virtually impossible to control everyone. However, the AC situation can be controlled by the University. It seems they were aware and did nothing to fix the issue in an attempt to gain an edge. Player safety be damned. I take issue with that.

2. Shoved band in the highest corner of the stadium Who cares, its the band.

4. Fans threw drinks on players. Well, you just said they were overheated.
5. Booed injuries of 5 players: 2 left to get IVs, 2 never returned. 3 of 5 are out for at least the week on injuries. Always a classless move.
