It's amazing watching this QB play. Some people just have it, and Shough has it. We are so fortunate as a fanbase to get a QB like this out of the draft. If the front office puts the pieces around him, we are going to be competitive for the next decade.

Of course the players care. You don't realize that what the SEC did was to screw over the players? You don't think all the players from 2022 who can't get their fifth year don't talk to the ones currently on the team? Yes, the players care, and yes, it pisses them off what the SEC did. Don't be surprised if you hear some chirping from our own players.

Any penalty on LSU could be a violation of the TRO that is in effect. I don't think the SEC will even want to chance this going back in front of the judge in Baton Rouge. This whole thing is over for now, but don't be surprised if it flares back up again with all these liberal university Presidents we got running things now. Our time in this conference is most likely over, it doesn't make sense to stay somewhere you're not wanted and where you know you won't get treated fairly.

We need to leave the SEC. The individuals in Birmingham have revealed their true biases. How can we compete knowing that those in charge are against our institution? LSU should not remain in this situation without a change in leadership. We should even demand a move away from Birmingham. It's essential for LSU's leaders to consider all options; failing to do so would be a dereliction of their duty.

Staying would be worse. Your wife hands you divorce papers, and then changes their mind and you're supposed to act like nothing's changed? You can't go back to the way things were.

This isn't over. LSU is done with the SEC though. Can't see how you can stay in a conference when its been made clear you won't get a fair shake.

At this point LSU should be considering the posibility. You know Bama or Ole Miss will use their connections to get LSU investigated for any little thing in the future and the SEC office in Birmingham will happily go along. Our time in the SEC may be done and I for one am glad if this is how little they think of Louisiana.

Do we want to be in the SEC still? The conference is obviously against us. If all 15 other members vote to expel, we'd be in a snakepit. They'll find any other reason to threaten expulsion in the future. I think our time here is OVER. LSU admin needs to realize this and start making plans.

I think too many bridges have already been burned. If indeed 15 other members want to kick LSU out of the SEC, there is no reason to fight to stay. Instead, LSU should be searching for a new "family" and at the same time, preparing to fight in court as you know lawsuits will be going back and forth for maybe decades. The ramifications are "nuclear" as the OP says. This is so dumb, as having this occur because of 2 players that are not rostered is beyond unnecessary. Either its egos dictating this conference or there is more to this behind the scenes. If there is more, why hasn't it been included in the amended court filings? This all does not make sense, but the longer it goes, the harder it'll be to come back. Things might have already gone too far and its a damn shame.

At this point how can LSU remain in the SEC? Bridges are burning. How can we ever abide being treated as an unwanted stepchild? How can we get a fair shake in games, scheduling, and any other conflicts that’s arise in the future. I say it has gone too far and it is time to divest. Countersue the hell out of Stankey, the SEC, and all other members if they vote to expel.
